Shouldn't we have dual specializations?

MMO's that incorporate the holy trinity of tank, dps, and healer typically find themselves with issues regarding certain role specializations early in their life cycles. Most notably you'll discover an absence of tanks or healers in the game as history proves that a large majority of players will opt for DPS (especially while leveling).

I've experienced the same in ESO and I think it would be beneficial to implement dual specializations which would provide the opportunity for players to try easily try other roles.

Is this something that has ever been brought up?

In theory a particular character could potentially have two profiles where they could allocate championship points & skills differently as wear as outfit gear.

    sorc or NB play as any of those 2 and you can definitely dual specialize.

    Respec if you want this.

    To a lesser extent, some of it can be dome with weapon swap. A healer is a magica DPS when you switch so a secondary skill line with destro staff, jabs and jesus beam... a tank could go DPS by changing from heavy to medium armor and from S&B to, say, 2H... of course, some classes have it more difficult to excape a pigeonholed role...

    But I kinda really, really dislike games that make such too easy, where people can simply "switch profiles" and go from super-effective tank to super-effective DPS... if you want the flexibility, meaning balanced builds that can assume different roles just by gear/weapon selection... but that means you have to spend your c-points over several selections, and pick a skill spec, thus limiting effectiveness for flexibility.
    I also really dislike it when people can instantly swap gear. Weapons, yeah, no biggie sheathing one and drawing another. But those games that allow insta-requip of armor... eh.

    what about agressive horn, combat prayer, luminous shards, repentance, and at very least spell power cure procs ?

    I'd like to be able to switch between a PvP and PvE spec or at the very least have the option to change a single morph at a time.

    I used to be able to choose between DPS/Heal on my main, but then the mat grind for v16 gear got added :(

    I agree, we should have different profiles, but not some that we could just switch between on the go, as that would break immersion and lore. Wouldn't make much sense that you could essentially be two different persons at the same time. But a system that remembers a profile so you can go pay your respec fee and load all the profile settings you have for your specific setup, that would be great.

    5 minutes and some gold can easily change what role you're playing. I guess some players are still struggling with gear, but it isn't as bad as it once was.

    Just remember to pick a race that has a focus on mor ethan one role. I'm running a Breton Stam Sorc and he's not really the best :/

    Would be nice when switching between pvp and pve a lot, but I don't see any need for it if you just want to switch between dd, tank and healer.

    I 2nd this. Still have to pay to respec, but have it where you can save "loadouts" to make it less stressful
