Seriously, I'm so fed up with this... In maelstrom arena I'm using tab focus on targets so I can kill them even when there's a big group of mobs around me. Half of the time I'm hitting everything BUT the target, even when there is no other enemy covering it and I have to use close range AoE, taking a lot of damage and draining my resources. Even worse, it often happens that new spawning enemies are not targetable until the old one in my focus is dead. No joke, on stage 8 I was actually hitting the shielded boss who was standing 15m in my back and not even on my screen, unable to change or drop focus for 5-10 secs, only being able to damage the Binding Stones with AoE. I love the arena but sadly I have to say that at least half of my deaths are caused by being unable to target Stranglers, Trolls, Webspinners, etc.

    its not a gamble its simply garbage :(

    so yes i absolutly agree to you, a thing i hate the most is that the target closesst to the camera in the line to th e reticle is chosen wich can be even a target behind your character(3rd person view - wich becomes even more odd when using the original horizontal offset camera position ) even though the opponent in front of you is glowing redish...
    spelling and grammar errors are free to be abused

    Now that you mention it, just the other day I was aiming for a target in front of me and my character spun around 180 and shot the guy behind me instead. It was one of those annoying jumping guys which really confuses the targeting system.

    Agree. In vMSA I've had my fire staff heavy attack leave my staff in a forwards direction and then double-back, fly over my shoulder and hit a target directly behind me. Looks cool but isn't what I wanted to happen lol.
