If the staves have the same stats and its used under the same conditions it appears spell pen. does increase your healing.

If this is really a fact, it sounds utterly wrong for me mechanicwise, but ok....wouldn't be the first miracle in ESO's combat mechanisms.

You sure, that you just used staffs ? No accidental switch to a dualwield set up with two swords (which buffs spelldamage and therefore healing too) ?

Sometimes the prey turns and nips us... it's a small thing.

So let the snow flakes and unicorns dance alone until they melt or vanish from existence, we will finish up with those smart enough to stay in the glowing circle of love.

I just checked the effect of my nirn axe compared to a defensive axe on the heal of Sap Essence (Double S&B NB tank).

In that case there is zero difference in Heal. Both for normal Heal as for a crit Heal.

EDIT added: I used CLS for the figures

"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".PC-EU

I crafted two identical epic Restorationstaffs, one with Nirn and the other with Critical. The Tooltip from BoL doesnt changed, if i used the Nirn Restorationstaff instead of the Critical Restorationstaff.

I dont use any Addons, so i can check this only over the Tooltip.

Found the reason, Piercing Spear is applying the 10% increased bonus critical damage from having an aedric spear ability slotted to healing as well

And would having more armour increase weapon/spell penetration.
Especially when used with dual+wield and blunt with defending weapons.
    :)

Penetration has always been a strange thing.. especially with certain armour, passive, CS and traits combined.
