The barber shop feature in ESO is perhaps one of the features I am looking forward to the most. I have had my main character since the 5 day Early Access, and there are definitely some changes I want to make to that character.

I want a new female running/sprinting animation... The current one makes you look like a gorilla.

Also, I hope the barber shop wont just be a barber shop but will come with an expanded set of hairstyles/facial hair/tattoos/etc.
P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

    I agree.

I shouldn't be punished by being forced to make a new character just because I made a character design mistake months ago. Or if my RP leads to some changes for my character, I should be able to change his/her appearance to reflect those changes. All by visiting a simple "barber shop" in-game.

It makes sense, Zeni. And the sooner, the better.

I heard in one of these threads that men throw money and gifts at females at the crafting stations, but my Argonian crafter has never benefited from that. Maybe some nice new head feathers will do the trick. The horns may be a little intimidating.

In all seriousness though I hope they will enlist the creative team to come up with a better name for it than "barber shop". Preferably something whimsical and magical that comes with special visual effects on use.

Yes, been waiting for this for so long! It is also my hope that they add new stuff, Id be pretty disappointed if they gave us a barber shop with nothing new to play with lol!

Also, lets hope they do something about that lighting issue. Character creation would be a million times better with sufficient lighting. Cant count how many times I've spent a long time getting a character to meet my standards and then come into the world and my poor dark elf is too damn green or that hair wasn't THAT color, ect.

    Agreed.

The blue tints of Coldharbour are really not helpful with character creation. It need to be a soft, white light for the true colors to show during character creation.

Yes! Please! Again and again... we are all begging for it, and the Dark Brotherhood DLC would be a great place to implement it!

The lighting has always been an issue. Remade a character about 10 times when I played Oblivion because the character creation lighting was in the sewer.

A few months back there was aan comment by some ZOS person on this... that they were working on "character recustomization feature often referred to as barbershop", since that was the name for a proposed system back in 2014 that may only have involved haircuts, but got taken up and expanded during the time in between.
In the end, I have lttle doubt full recustomization will be available.
I still kinda hope they might make it in two versions - a "barbershop" stand in every major town for "everyday" changes like haircuts, paid in gold, and a "plastic sorcery provider" in some outlaw refugee or coldharbour where you can pay crowns for "character recustomization" changes.

Surely Thieves Guild would be the place for this, akin to the Face Sculptor in Skyrim. Except for those that want a full-body makeover they can pay more for the full body sculptor.

Yes! One of my characters' skin and eye colours look a lot lighter in-game than I thought they were in character creation, so I hope we get to be able to fix it in a less oddly lit-up setting. I kept going with him because it took me ages to get his face right and I didn't want to start over on a colour issue but I'm really eager to fix it.

Eh, I see it as with the respec of skill morphs or all skills, in that you can pay for a little bit of change or the whole thing at once.

I would be very disappointed if they tied this feature to the Thieves Guild, as not everyone wants to play this quest line.

I have never played the Thieves Guild nor the Dark Brotherhood, and would be rather annoyed if such a basic feature were tied to it.

could be n the update they mean. like we already got those refugee area's in the main city's so they could play the facesculpter (as it was called in skyrim) in that area) so you can still use it even if you don't buy the DLC. because when you buy the DLC you get the update anyway. you pay for acces

In Skyrim you could still use the services of the Face Sculptor without being tied to the Thieves Guild, she just happened to be there as people with bounties were the ones that needed the face-change the most.

I really hope it comes along with a better cosmetic portion of the Crown Store. Like a proper store that other games with less of a player base have that let you choose individual pieces of clothing and/or facial/makeup options. I feel like ESO is extremely lackluster in this area, especially for a game that now lives on its Crown Store.

ZOS just scrap this whole Barber Shop idea and just let people change their character in the same character creation menu with tokens like the character delete tokens.

Maybe 1 token per month or something.... Because if you don't do it like this I know for a fact you guys are gonna just make it hairstyles and facial tats or something and everyone will whine about wanting to change their body too...

just put the whole thing in the character selection screen and add tokens and maybe restrict gender changes.... Then be done with it.

Could be done by next weekend of you guys worked on it hard...

The only reason you wouldn't do it like I explained above is if you plan on selling full character alterations in the crown store. So either you want to nickel and dime us or help the players get the character they wanted to make free of charge. What's it gonna be?
