I need help - PvP

I am so freaking tired of getting hit 3 times and dying.

I have leveled at least 3 characters in PvP 10-50, I wear all purple gear, sometimes yellow weapons. i use Imp and nirn traits and I also have purple magicka glyphs, and eat purple food for mag/stam/health buffs.

I get hit 1 time and i am crippled. i can't even get away and my magic and stam just stop working even if they were 100 percent.

First it was my NB level 48-49 then I leveled out and now I am on a Templar, level 47, and same problem. This is not a one time or one character problem, all my high levels are getting hurt. Also, I don't have a problem fighting anywhere except PvP since the last update.

I need help, will someone please help me. I prefer someone that is NOT DC, so they can fight me.

I play:
DC N/A PC
My available play time: 6pm - Midnight Eastern Time Zone Mon-Friday. All day Sat-Sun.

Edit:
BwB campaign

Notes:
I noticed NBs skill "Strife" is hitting me 3 times and killing me.

Um try becoming a vet and getting some CPs.

Why do I get the feeling you have mixed stats? Like some in magic and in stamina?

If so, there is another problem.

Find it odd you use Purp food, most people use only Blue food or drink and then tri stat potions.

Your NB, you are attacking first right? As an NB you will be super good at starting from cloak and ganking, if you get jumped first you're gonna have a really hard time.

As a templar, well you are of the weaker PvP classes so with no CPs I can see that struggling too.

As the game progresses you're gonna find more and more people in non Vet campaigns are using alts that have a ton of CPs.

    You are correct:

The character I am using now Templar has points:
    Magicka - 28
    Health - 0
    Stamina - 16

Should I put everything in health?

Also the reason why I am using purple food is because I can craft it and have all the supplies to make the food. I figured purple was the best as far as food. The food I am using now gives the following buffs:

    Health: 3885
    Magicka: 3574
    Stam: 3574
    2 hours

I also use purple drink sometimes.
    Health recovery 388
    mag/stam recovery 357
    2 hours
Your NB, you are attacking first right? As an NB you will be super good at starting from cloak and ganking, if you get jumped first you're gonna have a really hard time.

Well the problem i noticed is when I get attacked, not attacking. As soon as I get hit the first time I am maybe stunned and go in slow motion and nothing seems to work ( mag/stam ) and then they hit me again and again then I am dead.

I first noticed the problem the day we had the last update, I was getting killed quick by a few level 11-15 players, which shocked me because at the time my NB was level 48.

Well I don't think you want to put everything into health because then you'll have very little damage. I would recommend just putting health enchantments on your gear and see if that helps. The goal is to get to 20k health with food before entering Cyrodiil, so that your health will be roughly 25k when you enter.

    Hope this helps!

I only have 97 CP and I can truck people and same time also get owned. Are they melee classes attacking from stealth? I know with snipe and camouflage hunter I can take about half a health bar before I come out and attack. I'd say stack CP. I have 0 for reduce physical attacks and about 7% from all magic reduction.

If you wan't to try and belittle me then post my comments about when I said nerf sorc. We can play the he/she said game, but that is not why I posted this thread. I want to become a better PvP player, that is all.

I am against nerfing, and i used to play when they had perma-blocks, and non stop dodge-rolling; never cried about it.

As far as sorc goes, I fear them. It is the hardest class for me to get away. Do I think they are OP? Yes.

Dont mean to be insulting but have you tried breaking-free?

The issue that mag/stam stop working can only happen if you're CCed.

NBs use Fear to CC enemy players, this lets you run away uncontrollably and during this time you're unable to use your skills.

Even if you have the best gear and buffs, you still need to train and learn game mechanics.

Don't think you can run in cyrodiil without focusing a thought of someone spying you. Always run with buffs on and be aware.

And learn to play. Learn to counter. Learn different classes. And i don't mean to be rude, but it's just cold fact that even with best gears, you are only as good as your last fight.

    Keep on training.

I would definitely say part of your problem is trying to hybrid. A year ago, hybrid builds totally worked, now, not so much. Do you want to be a magic templar or a stamina? Need to decide on that first. Then put your points into that pool, then figure out good sets to complement. As of right now you are using a set that is magic and a set that is stamina.

Also, you are gonna have a hell of a time competing with people with CPs as others have stated. In a perfect world, BWB would be void of CPs but alas ZOS refuses to fix it.

Ok the hundings rage isn't a very good idea in my opinion for a magicka build I would swap that with magnus, torugs pact, twilights embrace, etc. also you have two resto staves equipped? try to using a S&B, two handed, or dual wield for your second bar. Also your attribute point those are up to you if you think youre good on magicka put a few point into health or stamina if you don't think you have enough in one. WW good for getting ult faster and the stamina regen and the food (same thing as the attribute point) if you need more in one spot than another use blue food, drinks, etc. Lastly try to add some heavy armor to your set like heavy chest and shoulders with reinforced for extra protection.

Magicka build benefits nothing of being werewolf. Change it to vampire.

You don't need stamina that much, i'd change your attribtutes to magicka, to gain bigger pool and more spell damage.

Also you don't need hunding's rage.

Check out for seducer and magnus for example.

Woah.. a Magicka Breton Werewolf Hybrid build - that's new.

As suggested above, hybrid builds don't work very well. Pick which way you want to go and roll with it. If it's magicka, I usually use something like 5pc Law of Julianos, 4pc Magnus (the other 2pc coming from sword/shield).
It's probably a good idea to wear some heavy armour considering the amount of damage coming out of nonvet now. You still want to keep some light in there for the passives.
If you find your regen lacking, you can try replacing Julianos with Seducer.

Since the Orsinium update I'm finding nearly impossible to run with 7 light on Blackwater. It's full of stam builds and wrecking blows. Been a lot nicer with a few pieces of purple/gold HA and S+B for a little bit more mitigation.

Strife is EVERYWHERE on Blackwater as well. If it's not stam builds, it's magicka NBs spamming strife/swallow soul/funnel health. Pesky.
Do you use Harness Magicka from the Light Armour tree? It'll absorb spell damage and replenish your magicka at the same time. Really nice skill in those situations. Just pop that sucker and then take the strifer out asap.

    Best of luck

Lots of great advice for you so far.

    Let's recap.

Hybrids no good atm. At most (depending on build) its a mix of health and either stamina or magicka. DPS builds go either all magicka or all stamina (some dks or temps do differ)

You wanna focus your armor to boost whichever stat you wanna go for. If magicka best choices are: Julianos, Seducer, Magnus and Twilight's embrace (for craftables) these focus on magicka but differ in damage, regen and max magicka.

In BwB there are alts with mad CPs, without CPs you'll be at a disadvantage.

If you are getting attacked from stealth, or not noticing an enemy, no matter what you are, it will be far more difficult to win than if you started the engagement. Personally, for me as my stamina is really low, is a second CC, they start with fear I cc break, then not enough stamina to break again and get pwned.

Don't get discouraged about getting killed, its the life of facing NBs :)

Hearing you do well when you initiate means you are on the right track :)

    Few things:

When people attack you and you can't perform any actions, you are being hit by crowd control. This could be a stun, knockback, fear, or daze. To counter this, you should break free by hitting your "bash" keybind. By default you have to hit your basic attack key + block key at the same time, but I highly recommend rebinding it to a single button you are comfortable with hitting fast since it's an "oh ***" button.

Your stats are built towards what we call "glass cannon" builds. You have no points in health and I'm assuming that you probably do not put many defensive or healing abilities on your bars. In PVP, you can play a glass cannon build but you need to be on your toes and fast to react to damage. You need abilities that help you escape from and avoid damage. With such little health, it's very easy to die in 3-4 hits.

You have no champion points. This isn't your fault or something you're doing wrong, but you are coming up against players who have 501CPs and will have a much stronger character than you do. The best way to do something about this is to level a character up past VR1. I had over 150 champion points just going from VR1-VR10 when I came back to the game and even this many is a significant advantage over having zero.

Don't get discouraged about getting killed, its the life of facing NBs :)

Hearing you do well when you initiate means you are on the right track :)

    Hope these replies helped
