ETA on more character slots?

I believe the initial reason that was given by ZOS for not adding more was that it was a coding issue and that additional slots would not be added.

I've been begging for extra character slots for sometime, but it seems to fall on the deaf ears of ZOS. I don't understand it however as it would be a easy money maker from the crown store.

The Problem is, that they have to consider "passive" advantages. If you buy a slot, you technically buy another 200 bag-space for your Account.

But non-the less.. since they have not much content updates (at least not for my kind of player), they should realy allow ppl to get more character slots.

My slots are full with v16 alts and i would like to play a new caracter... but as of now it is not possible without deleting a character... and for that... i like them too much.

More character slots are widely desired, would bring them more profit (both in payment for the extra slot, and in whatever other stuff people will buy for the ninth, tenth, eleventh, wharever-th character - I generally buy each of mine their own personal mount, so that's be some more to spend on...), and thus be good for everyone involved in the game.

Not to mention, the "advantage" of extra inventory will be balanced by the annoyance of "juggling" stuff between your characters (Give us more bank space, darnit... the last two DLCs each added more stuff to bank, and no bank extensions yet...). Also its a bit of a while until you get any new alt to 200 inventory... and gold sink...

I know some people play on both servers, but wow, I can't bring myself to start from scratch, with absolutely nothing, again. I mean, I suppose I could but the prospect of working through all those achievements again ... no.

More slots is the answer.

I keep hearing character slots might come to the crown store with the Dark Brotherhood DLC... one can hope!

I'm already at 8 slots just trying various race and class combinations for PVP, and I still don't have any templars yet.

Once the new patch drops, it will be so much less of a grind to level new alts. I imagine many more players will quickly fill up these 8 slots if all you need to do is level them to 50.

This is the first game Ive actually committed to any amount of time to more than one character. Or havent completely abandoned my alts after just a few levels.

Im not sure if I'll have a reason to create a new character unless they come out with something that requires a new character. But I can imagine there being a solid bit of money to be made there that would at the very least cover the cost of implementing it. I cant imagine it costing too much on their part to make it happen. If anythings holding them back from doing this yet is that there are more important things on their to-do list right now.

It is extremely poor judgement on the part of Zos to not have additional character slots for sale when they have this fabulous XP boost available.

They would have sold well.

Most mmo's I've played that let you buy character slots, they were around $8-$10 a piece. But having seen some of the ridiculous pricing they have here, I'd guess more in the $20+ range

Yep. I have money and not time. Started multiple accounts from early launch and when the CP system came in I basically stopped using the other accounts except for storage. Leveling a toon to VR16 is one thing, leveling to 500 CP an entirely different thing.

So they are losing money no matter how you look at it. I tend to buy the same things from the cash shop on every account...

It's funny that this thread came up once again..
Just yesterday I was wondering if or when we'll get more character slots. I'm holding half a ton of low-level armor and jewelry sets in an inventory for ages now and can't use it, and I was considering to just sell all that stuff now to a vendor. ZOS tooks and still takes so long to decide to eventually add more slots someday without an ETA that, by now, I got so tired of actually playing that I don't care anymore.
Well, that's too bad.
