I have played many MMO's over the years and to be honest, this is one of the best that I have played in over 15 years. The issue isn't the gameplay (except this new scaling to VR16 dungeon finder) it's some of the decisions that the dev team are making about communication in this game. For one the voice chat sounds like crap most of the time. Also many people don't have headsets and don't want to use one for that matter, which I understand. For instance sometimes you might be on when others are asleep and you can't be talking all night yelling " I need a heal now!". So basically for me not having text chat in an MMO is a killer blow that really is only greatly hurting the game. For the first week of playing I felt like I was just playing Skyrim again. I don't have a mic at the moment and that puts me at a huge disadvantage because I can't form trades, groups, dungeons, or really even make friends...all because I don't have a mic in an MMO?

Sadly this has been discussed over...and over...and over again, with no real traction and the same group of people (myself included) repeating the same reasoning.
At this point, I think everybody has all but given up

EZgoin76✭✭✭✭Text chat in a mmorpg is a must. Just ask the pc crowd who has voice with vent, teamspeak, ect if they could do without text chat.
I love ESO and use voice chat constantly but, consoles need text chat.I want to change the world. I'm just to lazy to do it.1 -

✭Text chat is invaluable when coordinating attacks on keeps and resources in Cyrodiil. Voice channels are not enough, this needs to be implemented, enough excuses from ZOS. We don't even need a text window I agree, maybe just a way to send private messages at least. That way you won't see spam on your screen from people in town...even though I rather have the spam text then no text at all. Please implement text chat zenimax!!!!0
