Meteor Ultimate bug??

Hi all,

So I just leveled the Mages Guild skill line to level 10 and finally got the ultimate Meteor.

Problem is I can't get it to work.... I have more then enough ultimate available but it just won't go off.

I've tried others ultimates and they work fine. I tried switching Meteor to the other bar and nope still nothing.

Am I missing something here? Is there a special trick to getting it to go off?

Could you give some more detail into what you are doing, are other ults working etc...

Just saying something doesn't work doesn't help anyone, but if Zos can reproduce it, they can fix it, or maybe we can already suggest some things.

Is it taking away your ultimate bar when you try to activate it? Like, does your ultimate level go back to zero?

Because, I have noticed the animation with meteor is very hit or miss. Sometimes you see the meteor come down from the sky, other times, not. You should look at the ground underneath where you targeted to see if it is all fragmented.

Also, silly question, but are you actually targeting an enemy? Or just trying to test it on nothing?

Yeah this could be it, if you animation cancel it I don't think it shows the meteor falling, but you will still see the cracks in the ground.

Ive had the same bug, the damage did register but without any visible effects.

I think its tied to the lower levels of meteor, leveling it up fixed the problem for me.

I'm on PS4 so I'm hitting L1 and R1 to set the ultimate off. Nothing happens.... It doesn't drain my ultimate or start any kind of animation. Other ultimates work fine.

No ultimate is used and there is no animations or graphics what so ever. Nothing happens.

I've tried in the middle of no where with no enemies and in the middle of battle in Cyro.

I can't be certain if I was targeting for sure but I'm fairly sure I was.

I'm going to test it out after work some more and try leveling it up to see what happens. Right now it's brand new out of the box at level 1.

With meteor you have to select a target for it to hit when pressing the buttons the meteor will then stay tracked on that target till it lands. You can not just throw a meteor down on nothing you have to target an enemy.

You're absolutely right. I guess in the middle of battle I wasn't targeting properly. I finally got it to work. Thanks for the info.

My bad. Noob moment....

Note, the boss may not always be the one you want to target with Meteor. First choice is the tightest cluster of mobs so you get the Ultimate back (Shooting Star Morph). Second choice is the Rangers or Healers as the Meteor can take them out or almost take them out. Of course if the boss is all you got or the adds are far away, then the Boss is the best place to drop this skill.

Last night I had to take out a boss that had a Ranger and a Mage with them. Rangers always have low health, so I dropped the Ult on the Ranger and took him out and dropped the Mage to 1/4 health. One more shot on the mage and all I had to deal with was the boss. Which was a Troll and those have easy mechanics if your not dealing with Adds.
