I would like to suggest that players be permitted to purchase items from the crown store as gifts for other players. I understand the need for making an object bound to an account, but at the checkout an option could be included to purchase for *gamertag*. I thought this would be a nice idea, considering Christmas is coming up and not all of us are playing in the same country.

Hm, would be nice to have (thinking of a sad guild member who wanted one of the limited mounts, but couldn't buy crowns at that time, so I could have bought it for her), but I have no idea how to prevent trading crown store gifts for ingame gold.

You can prevent the gold issue by binding it to the account that you are purchasing it for. Instead of it binding to you, the option would be to purchase it for another account before it even 'leaves' the store!

If they arent BoP you can trade with your friend.Its the same as gifting.Just open up thee interact circle,hit trade,and tell them you are offering the "gift" in trade.Tell them in text to give you the lowest thing they have in trade.

I wish had had a friend like this when the Zombie horse was still available.I didnt get paid until one day after it went out of the crown store.Too bad we cant trade our mounts. :}

True, but I think the concern is that you can purchase something in the Crown Store for someone else after they've agreed to send you in-game gold as compensation. Basically, agreeing to purchase CS items for other players in exchange for in-game gold.

I don't see why that -should- be prevented.

I also don't see why that should be done. Considering how many would scam the heck out of others like they often do with WW/vamp bites now and then... but as they say, "buyer beware". Not to mention that ingame gold is basically "make-belief money" that pretty much anyone can amass just by spending time questing/farming/burglaring whereas crowns are paid for with cash...

In the end though, I think being able to buy other people gifts from the crown store might be interesting enough. Even if its only for rare occasions.
