Everything I read has references WoW. ESO is its own animal. Unless its lingo or slang derived freshly from ESO I won't say it. Therefore the word proc is dead to me.

ESO players use alot of gamer and MMO lingo that originates elsewhere. It'd be silly to reject terms because they aren't ESO originals. Also WoW is just a handy example of a game a large percentage of readers will be familiar with. My first encounter with the term proc, on the other hand, comes from a free to play mobile trading card game.

That's because young children wrote the references. Proc has been around since before WoW was a glint in its devs eyes.
Should I have used the term AOL script kiddies instead?icontested wrote: »icontested wrote: »

Yup! When I was in high school I used to play Adventure on a college campus mainframe. Green screen monitor and you printed out your progress on greenbar line printer paper so you could memorize and repeat it later.

Its not about rejection, its about invention.
We went the Apple ][e route.
I drooled over and dreamed of one day owning an Amiga, but a lowly Radio Shack employee salary wasn't nearly enough for one of those beauties.

Forget it, we rejected OPs premise and strange brand of logic. This thread is now about tech nostalgia.
