For the last month I have been saving up my keys for two reasons. The first was that I wasn't getting any decent drops and I was hoping the patch would increase my chances (not sure if it did or not). The second was for the new Mercenary motif.

Based on my rewards, there is a 50% chance of getting a decent item (motif or shoulder).

Here is what I got:

    I guess it depends what you need, i guess you are on console and so you are smart to save up the keys

    On pc i have mercenary style master on both the chars i run dungeons with, i like the mercenary style and the laurels drop every time now

    I have 3 x molag kena divines in heavy but the chances to get nerieneth medium divines (the only thing i want) is so small i was thinking about saving up my keys now again....

    I've used, can't even remember how many keys, all in the next of trying to get nerien, which I swear the game knows (tin foil hats I know) but not have I even gotten a really bad one. I swear the drop chance on nerien has to be lower.

    It almost seems like the shoulder drop rate was nerfed.

    Having never had more than 1 or 2 keys ever, what is the point of saving up keys? Do they drop the shoulders of that days pledge, not the one from which you go the key in the first place?

    I opened exactly 20 today.

    Only 8 were gold and I don't have treasure hunter CP bonus:

    Got 5 motifs and 3 shoulders
    N64 NA EP

    Before the level cap was raised to v16 I started to save me keys. When the the cap was raised. Between all my v16 toons I had a total of 174 keys. But than I had to level all my recently maxed toons to the new cap before cashing in. I got pretty much all the monster shoulders that I currently used and new monster sets from ic in every weight and perfect trait (divines) and a ton of more other monster shoulders that I either don't want or bad traits on the ones I I do want. I would say out of the 174 keys maybe around atleast 100 I got a monster piece. I was extremely glad and lucky. RNG gods loved me that day. They hated me when I was farming vwgt for molag kena helm. Atleast 50 completes with not one drop... Not even a bad trait..... This was before difficulty nerfing. So it was harder to get completes. But luckily when one did drop. It was the right weight and trait I needed.

    Also, does the treasure hunter Cp bonus work for pledge chest? If so that would mean the ic trophy chest to correct?

    Makes no difference as to what you get. Just allows for more chances.

    I would think so. The majority of my ancestor/rubedo/rubedite deconstructs were purple. I would say it's worth the 6k to redistribute if you have saved this many.

    It isn't a nerf as much as a probable over sight. As with any MMORPG with a loot table, when you add items to the loot table then it becomes diluted.
