Faction-wide Chat Channel Please!

Sorry if this topic has been brought up before. Just did a quick skim and didn't see anything. But yeah. Please give us a faction chat channel. Would make buying/selling/grouping and dungeoning as well as asking game questions much easier. I know some people don't like the idea because immersion/it's annoying to have a channel that's always going. But just put the option in to turn it off and on like all other chat channels.

    since they dont have text chat on console, there should be a channel for Cyrodiil!! it is needed for overall communication within the zone for Alliance group strategy and tactics.

    5000 people spamming chat with the items at 200% the going price?

    1000 lazy people asking "PRICE CHECK ON MY RUBBISH ITEM PLEASE"

    Text would move so fast it would be unreadable, and the text file on your PC would fil up all your remaining hard drive space

    Fantastic, we would need a seperate server aside from the game servers and logon servers.

    I really don't agree tbh. I mean sure there would be an increase in the WTS and PC posts. But there's not that many active chatters imo. I'd say the zone chat in Deshaan for EP is the busiest one (Aside from cyrodiil, And personally while in Cyrodiil I'd just turn faction chat off) And while it's busy it's not like it's scrolling insanely fast or anything. Whereas some of the other zone chats are extremely quiet. Adding them in would really barely be equivalent to 2-3x the number of people in Deshaan chat. And it would make grouping for dungeons easier if you don't wanna hang out in Mournhold for the zone chat.

    No thank you, zone chat is bad enough. Faction chat would be down right infuriating. You're better off joining well populated guilds and using guild chat for your needs in game...Just saying.

    As I said earlier. If faction chat wasn't something you wanted to use it could be easily disabled in chat settings same as any other chat channel. This would be for people who were looking for an easier way to find groups for group content w/o being in one of the major zones. Simply put if you didn't like it then it wouldn't harm you but it could potentially help others and the software/hardware behind it is not really that difficult to implement

    Would not bother me in the slightest, I don't even use area chat because it's so terrible. Just another channel I won't ever use.

    Join a bigger guild, problem solved.

    I get what you're saying about disabling it but what I'm trying to say is, it just won't work.

    The only people that would use Faction Wide chat are the people you don't want to chat with let alone group with. The infuriating part would be trying to ask valid questions and getting asinine responses from trolls. I stand by my original response of, "you'd be better off joining well populated guilds."

    If grouping and help is to be your main use for a "faction wide chat" then you should be asking for a "faction wide grouping chat" and/or a "faction wide help chat" but I have little hope of that working well either.

    People wil then off faction wide chat. The WTB and such would overrun the channel.

    They need to allow us to creat custom channels.

    I understand there would be a fair bit of trolling and too much WTS etc. But maybe I'm just optimistic in believing that it would have considerable utility as well. One example I can think of is LOTRO. Where there was a world chat and while yes it was sometimes convoluted with silly discussions there was a lot of good information to be gleaned from responses and also it was widely used for PUG dungeon groups. That said I think the custom channels thing might be better. Would be easier to create a trade channel and a grouping channel in that situation.

    I'd rather have a "Party" Chat where you can add people to your party, no matter what faction, and talk to them that way. So sort of like a group whisper
