"Reloadui"... your new best friend...

After playing since beta and early release, I've rarely experienced a gaming session without experiencing a hangup (usually when I'm moving backwards...) a stutter or a straight-up crash... However, by using the short script (/reloadui) when changing zones, I've experienced less of these interruptions. Does anyone else have additional tips which could improve game performance?

/reloadui...I have it on a hot key so I don't have to type it out. That's how much I use it. Sometimes it helps. lol Since the last update I have used it a lot. About every 30 min or so I hit that hot key : )

Unfortunately /reloadui doesn't work for the hang ups i get. Almost always have to /camp and endure the new load times

That means you have an incompatible or misconfigured add-on. Try disabling them one at a time until you no longer get the error and you'll have found the culprit. Most popular add-ons are error-free, so maybe you can live without the faulty one.

Rarely have to use /reloadui myself.

its more useful recently - in IC the performance took a nosedive for me and again in Orsinium it took another drop. Never seen such stutter and fps drops like this before IC

I rarely use /reloadui, but I did have it on a keyboard hotkey for use with add-on testing. I have since removed that because ZOS is twitchy about use of third-party software or other means of creating macros to automate in-game functions. Whether /reloadui is an "in-game function" could be disputed. In any dispute that matters, I would be waiting for them to lift a ban.

One can also dispute whether they can even tell that a /reloadui keyboard macro is being used, as well as their resolve to actually chase after people who do it. It definitely is in their favor to let us to think they can, and do, no matter what they are actually doing.
