As a male, I always play female characters in RPG's. I think subconsciously I just prefer to play dress-up on a female than a guy. I dunno. I'm sure Freud would have something to say about it, but anyway...

This hasn't happened to me in ESO (probably because I only play female Argonians), but I've been hit on in Fallen Earth, which was weird. I eventually had to tell the guy that I'm also a guy... and he pretty much stopped talking to me after that.

I must admit though, I did it deliberately in Fallen Earth.... smallest possible character model (cute female) with an unassuming over-cute name (Peach), 100% deigned and built for PvP. There was nothing quite like watching people drop their guard before you blew their face off with a shotgun, destroyed their buggy and stole all their harvesting nodes.

I have to ask - to the people who are seeing guys in-game hitting on them because of their female characters, what platform/server are you on? I've got a pretty even mix of male and female characters, and I've never noticed anyone treating me any differently based on the sex/attractiveness of the character I'm logged on as. I kind of thought that level of immaturity combined with naivete was largely a thing of the past in the online gaming world.

Social maturity should be expected from adults. How we as adults in game act sets an example for the minors who are interacting with us and playing this game. Remember minors are little sponges they soak up everything from everyone not just their parents. What is said and seen cannot be unsaid or unseen.

My rule of thumb in this game is to act in accordance with the rule of age. And that is expect one out of three people you are grouped with to be a minor. So act accordingly. Further one out of ten may be your mother so speak accordingly. You cant go wrong this way. I will group even if the request is not beneficial to me. aka a quest that nets me no gain of xp. What I do gain is a positive interaction and a chance to set a positive example that a majority gamers are not social garbage.

We can laugh and joke about boobs/bewbs/bewbies/headlights/self heating pillows and so forth. But as adults we should remember that there is a time and place for such.

Now that is super creepy and just wrong on so many levels. I hope that guy had to have a little chat with Chris Hansen.

Strangely enough no one's done this to my female characters. I wonder if it's because one is a khajiit, one's argonian (and both are somewhat flat chested) and the Breton has a big scar down her face.

I'm actually kind of tempted to make a ridiculously over-the-top attractive character and run around town scantily clad just to see what happens.

(Then say I am interested, then say I'm a 40 year old man and can we get on Skype. )

Believe it or not I've had similar comments from full grown men in real life.

One extremely creepy guy stopped me on my way to work to tell me I looked "hot but tired" and repeatedly tried to get me to go to his friends house for a "French massage". Luckily this was on a busy street in London so after the second time I (loudly) told him to go away and leave me alone other people were starting to take notice and he backed off.

I remember one time I was getting a new set of armor made by my crafter alt from the bank. So, took off the armor I was wearing to deposit it. I started getting claps and cheers and people firing their staffs at me. Now that I think about it, the last might have been symbolic of something....

I have a boy sounding name/pen, I don't get anything (does not bother me one bit - I like it) however I play eso with my daughter with one character occasionally and she has a girly ps4 name. she got kind of chased/ followed around a few months ago. All now good in the higher level areas though but the first 2 zones were interesting for her. Maybe it was as she was low level maybe it was because it was early days she got followed and annoyed on open chat. I had a vet 7 at the time grouped and wayshrined her to bankgori to get her away from him. He was making it no fun for her.

Neither of us would run around naked. About the worst I do is Try the armour styles on my character, for one of my guild mates - so they can make whatever style etc for his alts as they are males and playing males with our vet group and I have the female vet . But I have been playing with those boys for a while . I give them stuff they give me stuff. after all what's a motif between friends.
My daughter has had no probs for a while now but it almost scared her off the game completely . it stopped her playing for some time .As she was worried it would keep happening there for not an enjoyable activity for her. . We both had such a different experience. (I can only put it down to her having a girly name/PSN?)

Dunno, all my characters are female, I never gotten a single thing of value. Rather the other way around, all the dudes knows I'm insanely loaded with gold, so they keep asking me for money and items

I do have a templar tank alt with slutty name and blonde hair, people often add it to friends list after pledge groups and tries to start conversations. Think it's about appearance, because they never approach any other characters. Maybe assuming I'm a blonde carefree giggly teen girl that shows cleavage on Youtube or something lol? But I'm a boring, pale, dark-haired and somewhat older female nerd with glasses, so they most likely get disappointed.

I never use voice chat. My female toons (99% of them) are just plain hot so the boys are awfully disappointed when they hear me sounding like their gravely voiced, jewish grandmother. I guess that's not the "hot-girl" voice?

The most I gave a girl was 5 free embroideries. When she asked for more I told her to get a @*!$ing job and buy her own. My charity only goes so far. I don't care what you've got under those clothes.

I got told I was hansom once while just standing at the eastern elsweyr gate in a mixture of martial knowledge and adroitness. I assumed it was a female complementing, but who knows. Anyway that's as far as anything has ever gone for me on the EU megaserver. Apart from getting called 'honey' at a dueling site a few weeks ago, made me blush. I have to be honest; I don't really find the female characters in this game that attractive, although the female altmer in the cinematic is pretty fit.
