Health - Attribute points or Gear

Good day guys,

I'm a DK Redgard archer running a bullseye build.

My question is pretty basic but figured I would ask it.

I have all v16 Gold gear with gold enchants, big pieces with prismatic glyphs and everything else is stam

The question:

Is there any benefit to either having health on gear or using health attribute points?
My thinking is it's pretty much equil 1stam atribute is = to 1stam gear point
Are there any benefits going one way or another..

In order for me to hit 20k health, I need to put like 40 points in health atribute (with food buff)

Mybuild - All suggestions welcome.

This is just a guess (havent done any research), but I believe the only things that would be different would be buffs that add a % to a certain stat off the base value. I cant think of any examples off the top of my head and could be wrong but thats just a hunch.

Personally, I like putting all attribute points into my main stat (Stam/Mag) and use gear for health and other things. This way, if I am changing the amount of health or off-stat I want, I don't have to respec.

Since health is an afterthought and you may want to trade health for stamina/magicka at some point, put the health in your attributes. You will probably trend toward 0 extra health as you respec, which, is very expensive to change on V16 gold armor items, but relatively cheap to change in an attribute respec.

You're right that 1 stam attribute is worth 1 gear attribute but as others have pointed out it is cheaper to respec your attributes than make new gear. Also if you needed more health you could try using a light piece to get an additional 2% to Max Health via the Undaunted Mettle passive (it will also increase your Max Stamina by 2%) and make sure to put points into Juggernaught for an extra 1% Max Health.

On an unrelated note, if you do respec your Champion Points put more into Mighty (like all your points) since it increases all your physical damage not just your bow attacks. And put more points into Warlord (again like all your points).

    @HebrewHatchet @Asayre

That was exactly what I was thinking, Cheaper to change attributes than to make new gear constantly.

@Asayre unfortunately I do not have Undaunted mettle yet only half way through, got bored with it a while back and stop. I have recently started again and do plan on picking up one light once I do, but as of right now don't think it will benefit in any way.

@Asayre You suggested sticking all my points in the one area ie Mightys and warlord. Has this worked well for you? I was under the impression it's better to spread them between two in order to maximize the percentages.

Thank you all for the confirmation and feedback on this, wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something.
