can confirm that this still happens on live. only now that we've been runnign with many templars it became apparent to me.
imho this is a very serious one that renders the entire skill useless and puts the class in a much worse spot when looking for highend dps possibilities!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA <deep breath> HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Zenimax buffing Templars, omg that's a riot. <wipes tears from laughing>. Thanks for that, I needed a good laugh this morning.

From what I can tell, it seems to not take into account the actual execute portion of spell. Though I could be completely wrong on that.
So lately I've been wondering why most of the time, I would get a dps improvement out of the execute, but sometimes my dps would just fall mercilessly every second during execute.
Well I took a closer look at the execute ticks in combat and it turns out that some of them, sometimes more of them, sometimes less, tick for an awfully low amount of damage. Some screenshots from FTC:
Just for comparison. This is what my usual execute ticks deal:
And this is what the "other" ticks look like:
I see no way to explain these extremely low damage ticks other than it's a bug. Yes, sometimes the FTC scroll text gives out wrong information, but the FTC dps meter rarely lies. And the information I got from the scroll text was always compliant to the information in the dps meter.
Guys thanks for this post. You are 100% correct about this bug. We were able to reproduce it internally and have applied a fix. QA is testing, it will be applied in the next major update.

There's another bug with Biting Jabs that, on the last jab, it triggers your potion timer... I started noticing it after I'd try to drink a potion to prevent myself from dying, but half the time my potions wouldn't trigger properly. Then I started noticing the potion on the bottom of the screen would get a 0.2s timer popping up over it towards the end of my Jabs.
If you watch the video, pay attention to the potion icon. Every time I do jabs the timer goes off non-stop, and when it does, I can't use my potions. Even though it's short, sometimes it seems like I can't use potions for longer than not. I recall this being a bug previously, but... it's back. And it's lead to so many deaths.
Templar is just such a broken class. I love playing it, but almost all my skills break or bug out in one way or another.
For a while I was attributing my potion problems to lag. It's so hard to know where the lag problems lay, but... last night I finally noticed the potion timer after I was ticked off my pots just wouldn't trigger, so I recorded the video as it captures the problem.DschiPeunt wrote: »I haven't really put a thought on why my potion timer would pop-up that often, but i can confirm that I get a timer for potions without using any. I thought it would be a UI error or something like that, but apparently it is triggerd by dem jabs.

I /bugged it, but I can ever tell if my bug reports ever go through or get viewed. I reported a simple typo with the Covenant's Bow, and for 9 months it never got fixed. I figured it'd be something simple to resolve, but... I can never tell. Just like the current dual-wield set bug. I've reported it, shown video, posted on the forums, but not seen a response. So it's hard to know if it's something that is on their radar.

Does major update mean we have to wait for the next DLC for a fix? So like 3+ months for a bug fix to a key ability.

I am fine with 3 months as opposed to never.
