maybe someone should have been designated a night shift from the community managment team you know in case of something unforseen they could be informed by the guys working on the server and keep us informed. its not much and with modern communications could be done while chilling at home.

And check that it got properly pushed to all the servers. This takes some time. It's not as easy as upgrading graphics drivers. Not implying that any of you actually thinks that it is, though.

If they indeed are located in the US, the timing of it all is pretty damned awkward for everyone involved. Us slacker-daytime-EU-gamers loose game time and the poor sods updating our server gets to pull an all-nighter, in a (vain?) effort to keep us happy.
Absolutely. I work in IT, I understand delays happen, but we at least inform the customer, which is how we maintain steady business and good rapport with the customer. Otherwise you've got chaos.not a clue the time while annoying is not the issue I posted about as things happen and delays are inevitable. Its purely a request to be kept informed more of a courtesy thing as atm all the European players don't know if its back up in 10 mins or 10 hours.
In the meantime, my Fallout 4 download should be finished in 3 hours or so. Whichever game is ready earlier gets played today... pity though, I was looking forward to doing some Orsinium quests.
