ok we all know pvp arena is a very requested subject but at the same time I can see how ZoS would say it would take away from there open world cyrodiil and IC pvp and leave it with no pop. however I think there are ways around this and steps we can take to help both thrive!
1.lower the amount of campaigns available. at the moment I notice 3/4 of them are always empty and 3 always belong to 1 alliance alone
2.stop alliance owned campaigns. now here me out I know people like to have a campaign where there alliance owns it all and its easy to move around but these split up pop in pvp so much 1/3 of your alliance is normally in there farms/grinding away if we forced players to fight over territory how that kind of pvp is supposed to be anyway it make's map control that much more rewarding.
3.have the arena be a zone not just one pit that has 100+ instances we all go into separately. what would be nice is if it was more oblivion style have 10 or so arena pits 2 or 3 for 1v1, 2 or 3 for 2v2, 2 or 3 for 4v4 and have it so players can walk up and watch fights place, and place bets stuff to do while we or our group waits in line for are turn to fight.
4.nice rewards. right now rewards for the worthy is not all that great you have like a 1/5 chance and some set you prob don't want or a piece you already have or don't need. I feel this can be improved upon by instead giving aps point directly, more gold, siege weapons things that make people want to keep pvping. for arena you could win things like gold, or ranking for leader boards to get weekly prizes.
5.balanced arena's you should face your class when doing 1v1's unless you join as a group. so say me and a friend walk up to the 1v1 arena or are in a group and que up for it it should recognize that we want to duel and put us together but if I just walk up alone or que up by myself then it should put me with a random person of the same class.
6.leader boards. there should be ranked and non ranked arena's non ranked are just for fun, to test builds, to duel friends ect. but ranked is leader boards you fight your same class only each kill ups your score top 50 or so at the end of the week win a prize.
7.battle leveling. in ranked arenas there should be no battle leveling its all about skill but in non ranked it should be allowed to allow low lvls the chance to fight and get ready for ranked.
well that's all I got I think its a good idea might have some flaws feel free to comment add stuff you think I missed or changed stuff I got wrong but I think its a good start if we all rally behind something we can get their attention!
