With all the new gear styles and dye system, people spend a lot of time and energy making their character look good as well as feel powerful. While I am not against the look of the bound armor set I do believe that having every Sorcerer using it forced to hide their beautiful uniqueness is a little outmoded at this point.

ZOS, could we pretty please get a toggle for this in the next content update? Just a simple "hide bound armor" code should only take a couple hours to implement (more if you surprised us and gave us some fancy particle effects when it was hidden), yet would result in an immense morale boost to many Sorcerers out there, myself included.

I would like to second this. The bound armor looks nice don't get me wrong, but the option to turn it off would be nice.

While it looks clunky and horrible, I disagree with hiding it as being an option. If you have an ability toggled, it should be visible so enemies know why you're soaking up less damage.
The only exception is if you're wearing a costume, of course. It wouldn't be fair it you bought one but couldn't use it.
I have 2 mag sorcs and 1 stam, yet still not keen on this idea.

I did find a neat little workaround, however. There's a new "costume" you can pick up in Wrothgar that is actually just a hat. Because it's considered as a costume, bound armaments will not show.
What you can do is hide the helmet in the options, and the rest of your armour is still there.

@Alucardo - Would you be for it if they added a subtle but recognizable particle spell effect, something that still showed your custom appearance but that people could instantly recognize as a "bubble" like other spells?

There are two ways to hide bound armor (without a supplemental costume).

    (1) Activate the soul shriven skin

    OR

    (2) Use the crown store bug as follows:

A: Deactivate and reactivate Bound Armor on the bar you wish to hide bound armor on (this trick only works on one bar).
    B: Open the crown store.
    C: Preview a costume.
D: Exit the crown store (hit ESC).

You will now have your regular armor appearance while maintaining an active bound armor.
If you weaponflip your second bar will have the standard armor appearance, but the bugged skill bar will retain the bug.
If you overload on your bugged appearance skill bar, the overload bar will also be bugged.
If you try to apply this bug to your second bar, it will deactivate the bug. You will have to retoggle bound armor to reapply it.
If you reactivate bound armor, it will cancel the bug.

    Enjoy! B)

Yeah man, as long as there was something there to denote you had bound armaments active. The silver daedric armour is the most tacky thing I've ever seen. I'd love to get the animation changed anyways.

I will have to research said hat... Definitely must pick that up.

However, the issue with that for me is that I originally designed my character a certain way which looked decent (though I really wish we could have a barber shop to shave off facial hair and change hair style at least), but once I became a vampire all that changed.

Now that vampirism requires at least one ability be slotted at all times to grant the positive passives while still always giving you the negatives, I am considering dropping it on my RP sorc for the first time since the game released.

Still, I kind of prefer to keep my helmet on.

I wear medium armour, so this is a non-issue. The hats look ridiculous for me xD
This new costume hat looks pretty swag though. It's called Cavalier of the Sworn Oath. Has like a golden mask with a black hood and horns.

That sounds excellent actually, TYVM for the tip.

I would also like to be able to hide my Sorc's bound armor. :\ Could we at least get it to be mostly transparent or something? I've poured a lot of time into getting different Motifs and dyes, but most of the time it's wasted effort because no one including me can see them! It's getting to the point where I'll pick up quest disguises just so I can look at something else.

As always, I second this suggestion and would love for there to be a toggle.

Here you go, this is what I look like WITH bound armaments active

Just wearing standard breton medium armour as well.

Very nice. Black and gold are very neutral colors. This makes me happy, though I still thing a toggle is needed as many prefer a light or colorful dye set that may not mix well with a darker mask.

Nice work on blending the dye on your armor. The gold looks really good.

That's a nice workaround, but it shouldn't even be necessary!

There definitely needs to be an option to hide it.
Why work on getting a new set and customizing it if you can't even see it?

That's why I don't want to use that skill, even though it is good.
I use medium armor and I much prefer how that looks compared to bound.
I get excited about crafting different styles and getting the new items that look really cool!
I don't want to see the same old bound armor.

I feel the same way. Hiding my glorious new Xivkyn armor feels like sacrilege against the Dark Father. ;)

I'd be happy to replace bound armaments with something like some tiny silver crystals rotating around the Sorcerer or something. Something small, but still there to let people know you're getting major buffs instead of completing hiding them.

I mentioned this myself the other week both on here and through a feedback,

I would be very interested in this and wouldn't mind a tell tale sign that I have it active atall,

Please let us show off the armour and dyes we've got,

Thanks man. I really hate the bound armaments too. It's just far too imposing and ugly.. but, until we get a smaller animation, this costume seems to be the best workaround in the meantime.
So if you want to show off your sexy armours, I highly recommend getting the hat and just hiding it for now.
