Shameful Style Materials

Zenimax, you should feel ashamed of yourselves. Did you make laurels and crap bop so you could introduce crown store variants in a few weeks from now? What about that low quality akaviri motif? Horrible. Orsinium might be okay, but a lot of small things are disgusting.

I am struggling to try and find a reason for making laurels (specifically) bound to you. This forces the crafter to actually go and run dungeons to craft people items for gold OR a non-crafting player to learn how to craft gear for themselves.

What is your angle here? I am 95% certain it's so you can have crown kits for this garbage. As a trader, you've hindered my prospects of earning gold. I don't even want to run dungeons constantly for laurels because each one would be for personal use, considering how rare they are. Real pathetic, kittens.

1. Yes that was an intentional change. Get used to it.
2. One chapter learned = 50% of a laurel drop.
3. The prices on the Merc motif have crashed already, go get full sets for your non-crafters.

Guess what, they drop from normal dungeons no matter the scale. Go scale one to level 10, faceroll it, and quit whining.

Wait really? They can drop if the dungeon is scaled way below the player's loot range just like leather scraps?

Well, I dont see a problem here. Pieces of this motif drop like candy from reward chests and they're already pretty cheap.

You guys are mentally inept. You fail to realise that you have to have 9 points in crafting in order to learn the stupid ass motif. That's quite a bit of points just to have a style material drop. It makes ZERO SENSE. Essentially, people are being forced to become a craft to some extent just to be able to craft a freaking new armour style.

You could get the laurels you need in one evening if you would do a few 20 mins dungeon farm runs with some friends.
Like wayrest sewers, vet is so easy to do

As most people make their new sets now, i doubt zos will put laurels in crown store because nobody will need them anymore

I expect to have enough laurels this weekend as i spent most of my game time in orsinium like the rest of the world

They will be added to the Crown store, that's the only reason they are bound.

2) Learn all 14 chapters
3) Reset
4) Enjoy 100% drop rate

And it's honestly gonna kill you to max say Clothing for instance which isn't hard to max at all, and spend a measly 8 Skill Points on it? Perhaps you are the one that is mentally inept.

Levels and number of champion points if any? Gear, skill loadout, passive skills, There is a lot involved in running a vet dungeon.

I already,at l43,have level 10 in blacksmithing,and level 9 in clothing,but I have never even seen a laurel.Whatever that one is.Do you have to have the motif bits first to get them to crop? And no,I am not an idiot or newbie.I just havent seen a laurel.

Laurels drop from group dungeon end-bosses if you have at least one chapter of the mercenary motif learned. One chapter is a 50% chance and more chapters increase it to eventually 100%.

Agreed. Latest changes to crafting (motifs, style materials) only promote crown sales and grinding. The former I despise, especially since I've remained a subscriber from the beginning. The latter worries me. It's like they're trying to keep you in-game to grind instead of playing. They can't put out enough content, so they force you to do the content there is over and over again. I've already dropped writs because the time spent doing them feels like a waste to me (and it bothers me that after 2 months of doing every writ on my main character, I have only 2 glass motifs to show for it, i.e. 2 motifs out of 200+ crafting writs done).
