I've found the Alik'r dessert to be extremely boring, does anyone else feel this way too? Stormhaven and Rivenspire are my favorite zones so far.

    Rivenspire by far.

Gloomy, awkward to get around and the story is just... Irrelevant.

Still better than the ad zones though except auridon.

I find Alik'r Desert to be boring myself, can't force myself to finish Cadwell's Gold.

Do I need to point out that it's a desert? It's supposed to be barren in many areas.

Dude I loved the desert. Thankfully though, I don't need to go through all that same crap again now Orsinium is fully battle levelled

Rivenspire is awkward as someone else pointed out, but I just wish Alikir didn't have a bunch of long winding roads marked with nothing. It's cool...it is...but only the first time traveling through.

Funny how preference works, I thought Rivenspire was one of the best zones created prior to Orsinium.

Rivenspire and Alik'r are the best zones in DC, hands down. Both zones are unique in that there are no other zones like them in-game. I loved the 'Ravenloft' feel of Rivenspire and the 'Prince of Persia' feel to Alik'r. Great stuff!

I found Stormhaven to be the most boring. It was too similar to the preceding zone, Glenumbra.

I'm an Ebonheart player, all my characters are based out of the Pact.

I've played through all three Alliances, and by far IMO, the Daggerfall Covenant has the most boring zones in the game.

The Ebonheart Zones remind me very much of my days with table-top D&D (Forgotten Realms), and the Aldmeri Dominion zones make me reminisce about Tolkien's works. In contrast to those two Alliances, the DC is just... bland. So I can't really pick just one zone in the DC that I find boring, as all of it (including the Quest lines) makes me lethargic when going through it.

If I had to pick a favorite zone in the DC, Rivenspire is it.

+100 for the Ravenloft reference. My absolute favorite D&D setting by far. Closely followed by Dark Sun. :)

I very much agree! I love all of the DC zones, it's my favourite alliance, but if I had to pick one I found the least interesting it would be Stormhaven.

Yep I really enjoy the DC zones. EP aren't bad either, but I am not a fan of AD save for Auridon and Reaper's March (RM being an underrated looking zone, IMO).

that's pretty much my result as well. Although I like some of the "feel" of the DC areas visually (Old School castle sword and sorcery stuff), the Quests feel very bland...I can't identify with the storylines. they feel more like other MMO style "take this and do that" there's not as much continuity in the Story.

I like the EP areas and story better, but by far my favorite is AD. Not only do i like the feel of the dominion areas (from tropical island to jungle to the Steppe (love the mongol feel to Reapers March), but the storyline has continuity and interest to me. far mroe then the other two (though EP is competitive simply due to my love of all things Morrowind).

Wood Elves also happen to be my favorite race (aside from that cannibalism stuff, yek), and they also have the most humorous personalities in the NPC's.

I want to like the DC areas, but the lack of enjoyment in the storylines really does it for me. Ironically, the one that holds my interest the most was Alik'r, mostly for the Persian feel as stated above.

I like the desert, its a nice change to other zones ( plus it reminds me of tatooine -SWG in me ) from other factions. Rivenspire is supposed to be gloomy and depressing. The devs did a good, convincing job id say.

Despite Rivenspire's bleak landscape, the Doomcrag quest line is one of my favorites in the game.

Same for Alik'r Desert ... some good immersion going on there at Leki's Blade and Aswala Stables. When my main crafter retires from adventuring, she is probably going to make curved swords.

Malabal Tor, on the other hand, seemed too short.

yeah I'd have to agree that the Alik'r desert doesn't really hold my interest much, but I know that's just because I'm in love with trees and moss and green, and if it's not green I sort of glaze over and imagine green places instead, so... yeah I think I'm just going to end up skipping a bunch of that zone. I know it's supposed to have lots of bland open space because it is a desert after all, and I'm not sure if boring is exactly the word I'd use I'm still interested in the story there anyways but the setting is a bit too depressing for me to really spend much time there.

I don't care for the brown parts of Rivenspire much either, but it's got some pretty spots and although the story was pretty depressing overall, I liked enough of the characters that it won me over despite not having a great first impression of that zone.

in the other alliances, Stonefalls is pretty off-putting and I tend to rush through that, and Reaper's March isn't my favorite place to be...just not green enough. I think it's great to have a variety of landscapes though, as long as I can enjoy being in most of them, I know some people aren't as into green as I am anyways :)

I hated everything about the DC with the exception of the Alik'r dessert. I didn't care about the quests, people or gloomy zombie and werewolf infested DC at all with an emo king that just needed to be gutted like a trout.

Alikir looks great but I think the lizard racing ruined it for me. Rivenspire was also awesome and I cared about Verandis and Gwendys more than I cared about most of the other NPCs I met.

Stormhaven is by far my least favorite area. For some reason it doesn't have the same appeal as rivenspire and Bankorai do in my opinion.
