Quality of Life Issue with crafting

It took me 2 hours to craft a set of armor for my alt last night. That's silly.

We've all dealt with having to travel all over the known universe trying to find a particular component on a guid store. I know they won't give us a way to search all stores at once so I'll keep my complaint on that brief. I'll just simply say not having a universal search is infuriating and makes me want to punch a conga line of babies.

Now on to something that might actually get done one day...

After I got the style items and traits I needed from searching guild stores all that needs to happen is get the ancestor silk and head to the Julianos crafting location. Great. I don't have nearly a thousand silk in the bank so it's time to go spend some telvar. Just for the simple act of purchasing silk I had to que up for Cyrodiil, wait for que, wait for loading screen 1, ride to sewer entrance, wait for loading screen 2, get my telvar out of the bank (because we can craft with bank items but for some reason we can't spend from the bank... you know what real banks do), buy the silk (at reduced cost... thanks for that ZoS, much appreciated), exit the sewers, wait for loading screen 3, go to way shrine to exit Cyrodiil, wait for loading screen 4, THEN I can go to the station and craft gear.

4 absurdly long loading screens just to craft a set of gear. There went all of my play time last night. Please for the love of Talos give us a way to spend telvar in Tamriel proper. Please don't make me que for Cyrodiil just to go shopping.

Thanks. Love the game for real. Just help me manage my time better please.

The loading screens need to be fixed. I have a 90 mb connection and wait for ever to zone. (90 both ways up and down)

I concur. The loading screens are putting a damper on my enjoyment as well.

Yep. I crafted Julianos and Torug's.... so add loading screen 5 and 6 for leaving wrothgar to Deshaan and entering the Torug's station.

If I'm in the IC sewers and I'm about to leave I don't go to the shrine in Cyrodill. I just walk into the WGT dungeon, which is right outside my alliance base, then travel out to wherever I please. It saves a lot of time.

You can also travel to guildmates from anywhere in IC (but not from cyro, interestingly) - cuts down on one load screen anyway. This is on console, so I'm not sure if they changed that on PC.

Go craft in Guild Wars 2 than come back here and complain with a straight face... seriously, do it.

I'm sure I could go play some steam early access game and find a way worse situation as well. That would hardly be relevant to THIS game though.

I could say stubbing my toe on some furniture sucks and some guy is always gonna respond, "At least you didn't get kicked in the sack!"

GW2 has been around for a long time, my point is this. ESO's crafting system is the most casual friendly crafting system in a mmo as the market currently stands. What your issue is, it sounds to me, is with the Guild Trading System and the super lame loading screens.

Now that is a crafting system complicated and boring enough to make even the biggest tryhards want to hang themselves.

You are correct sir. I was a big time crafter in SWG, which was way more complex and involved than this game. But the time spent crafting was actually time spent playing the game rather than time spent traveling and waiting.

I think that's the whole point... he wasn't complaining about the actual crafting, he was complaining because the loading screens are ridiculously long right now which makes it especially annoying if you are forced to go to Cyrodiil for part of the process.

Not to get all off topic an all but I just found out the there is a SWG private server still going strong, pre combat upgrade to boot.

But yeah, if the load time could be actually addressed besides the "we put in some back end tracking to see what the issue is" go to answer, that would all but fix the one and only issue I currently have with the game.
