I was in Wrothgar, it got hit with a massive lag spike. I typed "holy mother of lag!" once, then hit enter once. I got instantly kicked from server and hit with the message: "You have been kicked from the server for hitting the message rate limit. " That was the first thing I had typed in any chat channel in about 2 hours....

✭I just got booted, too, but with a rollback of about 10-15 minutes instead. Wrothgar, too (yeah, I finally bought it).
The lag there is the blank horror.

Yes but it's not a bug. It's when too many messages are sent to the server in a short amount of time. Basically it's a server lag issue and not a game bug based on how it was responded to by ZOS.

✭✭✭✭✭Same experience here, I was just about to enter a dwelve when the game lagged out, and then I found myself back at the login screen with a "message rate limit" notification.
Annoying, especially since I did not message much the whole time I had been playing... but... I just logged in right away and continued playing.
