ESO Obsession PLS HALP!!

I have changed. And I am not sure it is in a good way.

When I step back and evaluate my behaviour I can safely say I have become an ESO addict in the worst possible way.

These behaviours include and are not limited to:


* Printing out some 1337 new build at work and accidentally sending it with board papers to some big hob *** as I was too busy day dreaming about the possibilities of dishing out some face melting DPS

* Saving the time zones of my fave players in my phone's world clock so I know what time we can adventure together

* Taking a nap on my lunch break because I stayed up in Tamriel way too long the night before and plan on doing it again tonight

* I purchased the Witcher 3 months ago and it is still in its shrink wrap

* I get up in the middle of the night to ensure the latest patch is patching patchy goodness

* A 12 hour gaming session leaves me wishing my desk was more ergonomically friendly so I can game even longer

* I consider the ESO forums to be a lot more entertaining, interesting and relevant than any form of social media

PLEASE tell me I am not alone here - I want to hear about your crazy ESO induced habits!

Been there, they always look at you strangely when you try to explain that they shouldn't have been able to detect you cause your armor set. Then they avoid you...

It is actually the opposite for me.
With every patch, every addition, every DLC the games loses a bit of its soul.
It becomes more generic.
It seems that no new content in this game will ever have the quality of the starting areas and the tutorial.

I recommend getting into Orsinium then, its the most like classic Scrolls we've gotten thus far.

Fun Fact: When I played FFXI, my Guild that went after HNMs(Challenging notorious monsters that would only spawn once a day or every few days). A lot of us knew each others phone numbers and would call(or most likely text) each other if not online when a HNM popped. Which led to some interesting moments like leaving during classes and even people installing FFXI on their work computers(or brought their laptops to work) lol.

Of course we didn't force each other to get online and help, it was just checking to see if they were available(and many wanted to be available lol). Many fun and interesting moments were had due to the nature of HNMs and I don't regret any of them! This type of "content" or "system" doesn't exist anymore and I feel MMOs are missing out on a real competitive PvE experience. In FFXI at least, sure there was drama, of course! But over time this became more of a "friendly rivalry" with Guilds. I found HNMs the most fun I've ever had in any MMO and it's never been equaled in current MMOs today.

When I'm driving down the road and I see a blue bush I instinctively think BUGLOSS.

When someone brushes me the wrong way I see a red or blue shield above their heads.

When I bought ESO, I was maintaining 4 online games.

ESO, Gundam battle operation, Gundam battle operation NEXT, Hearthstone.

Now I abandoned Gundam NEXT and Hearthstone to have more time playing ESO.

And I reduced my Gundam operation play time to less than an hour a day.

Still I'm not as crazy as your 12 hour play marathon.
Around 3 hours a day maximum on week day. 5 to 8 hours on holiday.
