Is snipe worth it in pvp? The range is nice for openings and keep defending/attacking but the damage seams kinda weak.. Is that just me or?

It only gets better with champion points and weapon dmg stacking. If specced correctly you can dish out upwards of 12k per shot meaning death in 2.2 seconds for a poor unsuspecting victim.

Not to mention camo hunter combined against vampires (which there is no shortage of in pvp)

I personally feel bows have become a support weapon. You have people in the front line and people in the back line. The constant pressure Snipe can put on someone is huge, especially with the heal de-buff from lethal arrow.

I personally think its great for defending/attacking and opening. The damage reduction has made the damage pretty lack luster. Its about the same damage as Wrecking Blow without the follow up empower.

Here's the thing. Do you like to Duel? If you do, don't use Snipe, weave with poison arrow. However if you like siegeing plus that type of large group combat, someone who snipes in the back line is something not to be underestimated.

People forget this game is built around group play. Especially massive Zerg battles that people seem to hate however is intended. People who use Bows are great for this, no risk of death compared to the front-lines with also some great dps from range.

So pick your poison really. Everything has a counter. I personally don't build for Duels because there is much more to offer when you do not build for duels.

When i see people try and use skills that are not utilized a lot or even gear set's that is unique.... i complement them. At least they are making the game more diverse instead of this stale weapon damage min/maxing we see today.

Also the biggest question of them all, do you have fun using a bow? Do people ever put damage a side and ask is it fun? People tend to lack the real fun and only argue about whos better in 1v1 / who has this or that. Remember you are playing a video game, play the way you want. I don't care if i'm using something that is unorthodox or "not viable". At least ill have fun doing it. Once you find players like these in game, your play time in Eso will be much better.

(I'm not bashing dueler's. If you like to duel it's cool. Just not my thing.)

Like any skill on any skill line, Snipe is not a stand alone win button,

However with the correct preparation before you lose that arrow it can do serious damage to an opponent,

using bow and 2H together as a NB you can hit very hard,

Buff up on,
Rally,
relentless focus,
camo hunter,

let loose the snipe drawing a heavy attack whilst arrow flies,
as it hits opponent loose your heavy attack followed by poison injection,

stealth,
swap,
ambush,
surprise attack..
