Chat window issue?

I play with two characters, one EP and one AD. Both are vr2 and have finished the "vestige" and Coldharbour quests, so both are in the next PvE area to do quests.
Since the patch dropped, neither character has seen anything in the chat window, i.e., nobody is talking. Is that because they are in a different area and can't see the other faction talking, or is there something I can do to make it work again.

The loot tracking is a new feature and was previously only done through addons afaik. If you saw looted items in chat, then you most likely did have some addon(s) that altered your chat window.Daggerfall Covenant (PC-NA)

Sixsixsix161✭✭✭OK, I figured out what happened. I've been playing since the patch was released without being able to talk to anyone. Today, the mystery was solved, whenever I used chat to talk to anyone, either there was nobody there, or nobody replied.
Today, on both my characters, other players finally answered. Guess most of them are in the new DLC. Not a lot of players in either area.
