What we like about Orsinium?

i was just wondering about this when i was looking around the main town. It looks like a proper city, unlike most of the earlier areas where there's just kinda few houses (and part of them are shops). Even in the capitals mostly. i would gladly trade some "empty" space from an areas and make the cities more diverse and bigger. I don't have any use, or fun really to run around a jungle that much.

The huge rooms gave me nostalgic feelings from morrowind. I always liked the grand halls and huge temples of ES3:morrowind (tho, time may have shrouded my memory and altered things a bit), I loved to explore for example Vivec city, it was just so out of this world.

I have been only able to play it for couple hours, but like it so far. The cliffs are higher then usual, i know have to think should it ry jumping, or shuold i just take the normal route. There seems to be more variety in the landscape than before.

Only downside i have come across, is the sometimes childish humor (for example the npc throwing up in the middle of a boss fight). But that's just my sense of humor, each has it's own.

Yeah a few people said it has brought back nostalgia from previous games. If there wasn't people running around in their underwear with blue balls of light circling them it would have done the same for me..
The buildings were amazing. The first tavern I went into I was expecting a tiny shack like all the others - nope. Going in there, I felt like I was inside a real tavern. The conversations NPCs were having with each other were more interesting, the room was spacious and very well detailed.
The dialogues, quests and boss battles are more engaging, and I found it a pleasure to explore Wrothgar with its beautiful and ever-changing scenery, accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack.
A great amount of detail has obviously gone into Orsinium, and that's coming from a PvPer.

The funny thing is, according to Rich (who should know) the city of Orsinium is actually the same size as Daggerfall in Glenumbra. It feels way bigger though, and I think that's largely because of the layout, because of the level of detail, and because of how tall everything is.

Playing has an orc has been interesting, got a very nice welcome by some of the npcs, still playing it on and off, but has been most interesting.

Love the whole area and the quests, meeting up with some old friends from coldhabor and old story content has been nice.

The high walls and tall buildings does help with that feeling, along with the mountians and so on. I couldn't help but think the people who sack that city always lose a lot of people in doing it, that whole area is an army killer.

Someone can answer a little question about of the game patch?

    Patch notes:

"Harvest nodes in Cyrodiil now scale to the most advanced material type your character can use for crafting."

So, what means that? i can harvest materials of vet 16 in Cyrodiil now? or means that now the harvest nodes scale to the player level until vet 14 materials?

    Hopefully the first one....LOL

    Thanks!

It's beautiful, and so is the music. The guys above describe it well. Definitely worth every penny.
But I can't help but think that it would have been awesome if they had introduced some new type of event. Don't get me wrong, the new world bosses are cool, but a new random encounter would have been cool, to further set the zone apart.

@xXNesTXx I'm pretty sure it means you can find VR15/16 materials in Cyrodiil now. Although, it would follow the same rules as the Orsinium nodes.. only SOME will be the highest tier, you will still find lots of Voidstone etc.

The true feeling of an ES game finally coming through in ESO in Orsinium. The size and scale of the of the zone, all the scenery, the verticality and terrain, etc. The way the zone was designed, the city of Orsinium, the placement of mobs, etc. Light years beyond the previous zones in ESO in my opinion. Can't wait for more zones and the map of Tamriel to fill in.

Edit: Let me continue, the balancing of mobs and world boss difficulty. The artwork. Great stuff.

Edit #2: Let me keep continuing. The zone itself is bringing the community closer together. Players are looking for one another in zone, looking to communicate for a multitude of different reasons. All great stuff.

Orsinium is fabulous. ZOS have out-done themselves with this one for sure. I've played since Morrowind, hearing about the place in every game since, and now I actually get to experience it. I like the orcs - they're a down-to-earth people with a rich history and not nearly as barbaric as they're often made out to be.

Fabulous DLC and worth the money I spent on it.

I can only hope they keep up this high standard for the next ones! :)

Really enjoying Orsinium. Haven't explored all of it yet but what I've seen is wonderful.

-Rkindaleft made me stop and take in the scenery. It's breathtaking!

-And the animals! I would have a pocket mammoth as a pet. And the echatare - yowza. Kind of a cross between a moose, a water buffalo and a set of large ice picks.

-Crafting writs are much more reasonable. 1 of each staff instead of 3 of each is a vast improvement. Now I can spend more time playing and less time looking for mats to do writs.

-It has a Skyrim feel about it. Am enjoying wandering around looking at stuff vs. trying to get quests done in a hurry.

    -The music is fantastic.

    Well done!

Definitely a Skyrim feel to it, but then Wrothgar should have somewhat of a Skyrim feel to it.

The new music is... well, let's just say it makes me want to load up Fallout 3. Some of it is very lonely and somber and it has a Fallout feel to it.

I've barely scratched the surface of this but it has been a lot of fun so far. I can't wait to have explored it all! It's just gorgeous and yes the space, scope and level of detail makes me want at least one new city for ALL the races or at least for them to go back and and overhaul the capitols of each zone. It also REALLY makes me yearn for player housing!

Yes, i've been baffled by how good the main story of orsinium was!
When I made my video about my first impressions, i though I had advanced quite some in the main story while I was actually at the very beggining. I had many occasion to be very surprised and thrilled after that.
Really it's a master piece in gaming narration.

I hope @ZOS_GinaBruno and @ZOS_RichLambert can congratulate very warmly the team that conceptualised Orsinium. Everything fit together and add to the immersion. I've been so captured by the story, that past a point, I just could not stop anymore; I had to know. My boyfriend and I just finished it in one sitting (5h straight) - which is not something I do often.

What do I like about Orsinium? Has got to be that ZoS included infinite stamina. It's probably the best feature this game has ever had. Finally bringing stamina builds to the top, skyrocketing over magicka builds.

I've had time to play it now for a while, and gotta say, I'm just exploring! Not many games anymore give me the feel that i just want to explore the area/world, that i'm really interested about it. Great scenery, the two interwining waterfalls...

I'll keep handing out money with pleasure as an eso+ member if the future areas feed my appetite for exploration like this one has. Haven't done much questing yet, exploration has been too much fun.

Just talked with my friend and i'm kinda bummed that one of the best, if not the best area in the game is behind a pay, understandable but considering how similar the main game areas are (and a bit boring), it's a shame for new players.

Auridon is great tho, still visit there every once in a while, but Greenshade, Grahtwood, Shadowfen, Deshaan etc, they were a bit boring, and pretty similar imo.

I'm really enjoying Maelstrom Arena at the moment. I still haven't attempted it on Veteran but I've complete it on Normal about 6 times now, after many failed attempts early on. I'm still fairly new to the game and I love it. Is it strange to be 500+ hrs into a game and still consider yourself "fairly new"? Well, either way, I'm still learning the finer points of the game.

The other day, after completing the arena, I decided to wander about and came across a bunch of people fighting a world boss. I decided to join in and found out real quick just how tough he was. At one point during the fight I happened to notice that I was the only one left alive. I knew if I died, the boss would reset and all our work would be for nothing so spammed my Green Dragons Blood and tried to stay away from him as best I could. Long story short, everybody was able to get back into the fight and we put Mad Urkazbur the Ogre down for good. Well at least until the next time he spawns. The adds sucked and it was challenging but it was the most fun I've had in a long time. The world bosses actually feel tough enough to warrant forming a group for them and I like that. I haven't been afraid of a world boss since I was below level 50. I'm still not afraid of them in Wrothgar but I have new found respect for them that's for sure.

I was starting to have an ESO burn out and I don't like the idea of being forced to PvP to do the PvE content in Imperial City. I'm loving Wrothgar more and more as time goes on and as I learn and discover new things. The story is truly a work of art and I can't wait to explore more of it. It's quickly becoming my favorite zone. Everything that people are complaining about on the forums are the things like about Orsinium. Scaled Nodes, solo Arena, PvE only content, I love everything about this new content.

This gets all of the agrees. Seriously, I'm absolutely loving all of the detail, all of the character, and all of the interesting little story bits all throughout the zone. I probably haven't even completed half of it yet, and I know that even after I complete it on my DC orc, I'll be very happy to come back and go through it all again on other characters. Every time I talk to an NPC I just have to go through every dialogue option.

IMO Wrothgar is by far the best zone in ESO, and if this is a sign of future DLCs I'll be the happiest guy around. Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the people who liked Imperial City (heck, I still like it), but Wrothgar blows it out of the water as far as I'm concerned.
