Vet maelstrom "Balanced" for all classes

You lose points when you die and respawn, and you lose points when you use any of the buff things while in the arena.

On my Templar I am trying to do it without using any of the buffs, but it's hard. Only got to round 4 so far. If I were to use the buff things I think I could probably get higher faster but I want to go hardcore. That means no buffs, and not changing to a ranged build.

Honestly, it's the time investment that is killer. I don't mind learning stuff and getting better at it, but it's taking hours all strung together since you can't start where you left off before if you chose to quit.

you also find briar in treasure chests in IC (V15)

I don´t even bother to try the arena. It will get nerfed to easy mode in no time. I won´t do the hassle anymore, too much repair costs, soulgems. Made big investments for DSAV and vWGT, won´t do the same mistake again. Wait some weeks, go in and grab the master weps and let it be...

When I log into TESO I want to play with my buddie, a duo arena would have been so great. If I want a single player jab´n slay experience I can find better games out there....

Remember, ZOS can make both solo and group players happy. They don't have to cater to one OR the other. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too. IC was both solo and group friendly. Orsinium was solo friendly. The next DLC seems group friendly because of the new Trial.

Reported locations include crafting writs, Orsinium world bosses, and Orsinium/Cyrodiil chests. Thankfully ZOS made this set drop in either v15 or v16 because it needed more RNG than just a random trait.

I'm at the point now where I agree with you on the matter of to costly to do this. If I miss out on a few weeks of epeen awards so be it.

As Stamina templar I only have issues on the last boss actually those Crematorial guards kill me so hard...but anything else is fine.

Took me 50min to last boss with Stamplar today...but then like 1,5h on last boss kept wiping...><

DKs have it worse but Templars are not much better it seems. It will be interesting to see the leaderboards in a week or two.

Yeah, theorycrafters are saying that Destro with Vamp Bane and Force Pulse might be the highest ranged DPS for a magicka Templar (maybe use Elem Drain for sustain). It will be interesting to find out what builds players are using becaue PvE always has some interesting skill combinations.

It's too bad that puncturing sweeps and biting jabs are the most necessary solo skills needed as a Templar and are only melee range though.

There is a bug, 345 is actually 345,000. People experienced this on PTS.

That has always been an interesting fact. It makes me wonder what the odd variable out is that causes that difference.

1. Many EU players mastered it on the pts so that they could have the experience to help others get through it.
2. Many NA players mastered on the pts so they can complete it on day one and then tell everyone that hasn't completed how bad they are.

Would be nice to see who was stamina and who was magicka. Clearly those with mana will find it easier, but I'm interested to see how many stam have completed the vet.

How exactly are people getting ranged on magicka templar in there? Because I got to round 4 tonight, and was kind of glad i died a trillion times and so could not continue because have to be up at 6.30am tomorrow but I CANNOT use ranged dps... I find magicka templar is so slow, and our skills are slow too, that ranged just gets me killed because I cannot get enough distance before using it. I am spending so much time just chucking on harness magicka, channeled focus, spear, spear spear, spear, spear, rince and repeat I can find no other way to do it. If I try to get range, I can only damage single targets, and they are all upon me by the time I do it... I would LOVE to use toppling charge to help with the mobility issue that has become very apparent here, but alas, our toppling charge is broken and is such a gamble, with a 50/50 chance it might just get you killed, its not a viable option

So how are people managing the ranged dps on templar exactly? Without dying I am using resto staff and 1h and shield atm, is this a bad choice?? I started with 1h shield and 2h (my usual setup) but I found I could, even if slightly, damage stuff at range a little with my resto staff, plus healing ward... though tbh I rarely use healing ward so.. maybe I should switch back? idk I have completed group dungeons solo before, cannot believe a SOLO dungeon is harder than that haha! I so look forward to being able to finally do it, though at the moment, I don't know how I will achieve this... And I outright refuse to do this with my magicka sorcerer, I have already experienced how easily she completed the first round and I am appalled tbh... My templar will do it first... Even if it takes me 20 years next try at the weekend, so hopefully I can think of a way to do it by then.... This place is taking over my life right now its annoying me so much! I am sat in lectures recently and all I can think about is how I can complete this stupid arena

Highest score is in NA and NA also leading in DSA..... what you don't realize is most of NA aren't doing trials these days nor many even DSA nor many Maelstrom yet... YET. Most (that I know at least) are still in PVP after doing the main quests in the new content and IC is still very popular.. at least in my experiences lately.

The Arena only needs some adjustments and things will change quickly.
The way it currently is, makes it hard for some builds to sustain and succeed.

I don't think anything class related needs nerfs. Buffs yes, but no nerfs anymore.
Buffing some Templar damage numbers here and there would be very handy for example.
