How are people finding Julianos?

How does it compare to the others sets?

Looking forward to xbox launch to try it out.

My temp is getting the first set. Judging on how we'll it is, my sorc may get a set then. Pretty happy with that as it is though

Im not gonna switch it for kagrenacs, I feel my magicka sustain is already stretched thin with keeping 2900 spelldmg, if I go with julianos I drop magicka reg further to get just a bit more spelldmg and spell crit. I doubt I'll switch..

Well on my sorc I run 4 Martial knowledge, 2 adrointness and 2 torug's.

So I don't rely on those for regen anyway currently.

I do on my templar use seducer and magnus. So I'll feel it there. But my temp is only vet 6, and I'll switch seducer with martial knowledge come vrt11 anyway.

It's tempting for my sorc. Especially if I run crit surge instead of entropy. Might be a real winner for the solo arena.

It seems quite fine so far, I have crafted it with infused/divines. Put some champion points into increased critical damage just for it. I am loving it so far, after going with the usual MK/TP/Adroitness (note that those were r14 max), I feel like my damage went up loads. Cannot give you any specific numbers but at the moment, it will give you most spell power, unless you are willing to farm certain sets. I don't have problems with magicka regen though, as I am a NB, and my offhand is a resto staff.. Combined 5 Julianos with 2 Torug's Pact for extra spell damage, and a Molag Kena shoulder plate. Don't ask me about the helm, don't have it, but I don't like the idea of its penalties, I feel as if the constant Torug's Pact bonus is more reliable. But oh well, just my 2 cookie crumbs here.

EDIT: I had collected over 20K TVS just so I could craft it the day it was released. No regrets! The plus with crafted armor is that you can mix and match the styles.. I honestly haven't been that excited about an armor set in ages. O.o

This is the set I was referring to, Julianos isn't THE BEST, but it does nicely if you for some reason can't acquire Overwhelming Surge (which is imho the best atm).

I found it at a craft station.

If I run magicka NB I wear 3 pieces Archemage, 4 magnus and 2 torug pact when dueal wielding, or 5 magnus when restro/destroy staff.

If I use julianos I do get a a bit more spelldamage, but not much more. I do get less magicka regeneration. Of course I can tweak a bit with jewels do have them have more regeneration. So I think it's on par with the other sets combined. Only you get more crit though.

I did some practical tests on PTS with NB mage, and it slightly dropped DPS from Spell Power Cure. I didn't adjust my CP, so i didn't use its full potential. It is definitely one of the best sets available.

Julianos is great on my sorc, based off yesterdays short tests.

My v16 legendary setup
1x Molag Kena (medium reinforced)
2-3x Torugs Pact (heavy chest divines + nirn fire staff/dual swords)
5x Julianos (all light divines)
3x Willpower (arcane)

On my destro staff bar I get 3008 spell dmg (3174 DW bar), 40k max magicka, 64% spell crit and 1164 magicka regen.

My jewelry is enchanted with 2x spell dmg and 1x magicka regen. This gives me plenty sustain, even without using elemental drain. For single target fights I can switch to 3x spell dmg enchants which brings me to resp. 3224/3390 spell dmg.

The good thing for sorcs is that the extra spell crit also helps to increase the healing from power surge. This will be useful for vet MSA because the mobs hit pretty hard and you dont want to spam shields 24/7.

Edit: for pvp I will keep using Kagrenacs because if offers necessary magicka regen.

I'm planning on crafting a v16 set for PvP.

Rough estimates: 3k SD, 1.4-1.5k mag regen and 35k Magicka

As a MagBlade, since my class skills are rather cheap (800 for Funnel Health for instance), and using 7 pcs Divines with Atronach active, I think the set would work nicely for PvP

Do Sorcerors get a buff/passive to spell power or are these your buffed spell damage values? I'm running almost identical equipment on my Templar (a couple of Infused pieces instead of Divines) but my spell power is only 2896 DW unbuffed (2629 restoration staff). This is with the Apprentice Mundus stone as well.

If I use 3 spell power enchants I can get up to 3070 DW unbuffed. Buffed with Major+Minor Sorcery (+25%) I can get up to 3838 spell damage though my sustain is pretty poor.

Yes its a passive called expert mage - Increases spell power by 2% for each Sorcerer ability slotted.

Yeah Julianos is fantastic for Power Surge Sorcerers. 60%+ spell crit is nothing to laugh at as almost every other attack will heal you.

Oh my god. It's like I'm reading my own post, you pretty much described my whole build and idea behind it with Power Surge criticals that occur so often (thanks to my 68% spell crit in combat) that the sustain is really great.

I use also 1x Kena (Heavy divines), 2x Torug's (lightning staff/resto staff, belt, 5x Julianos (all light, big pieces infused, small divines), 3x Willpower (arcane, 2x spell damage enchant, 1x magicka recovery)

I get 3k spell dmg, 40k magicka, 16,5k health and around 1050 magicka recovery (only have around 170cp atm)

At first I wanted to write down my build and Julianos experience, then I saw your post and thought that I might not do it. Then I realized that it's so identical I can't resist but to point it out, lol.

I tired Julianos on my templar on pts, and it dropped my stats so much that I am not interested in it at all. After literally trying our everything I possibly could whilst I had the chance, I did however find the best set items to boost my stats a bit on pts, shame they are going to take 50 years to get, as are all dropped set pieces... Ah well! Guess I will stick with what I have until I manage to get them all

For someone who plays in BwB this crafted set is a god send. Got mine last night for a lvl 32 sorc. I'm getting around 2306 spell damage now, and that's with:

- Law of Julianos (5pc)
- Magnus (2pc)
- Torug's pact (2pc duel swords w/ sharpened)
- Apprentice mundus stone
- Divines on all gear 'cause yolo

It's about time mages had something like Hunding's they could craft. I find it's easier to obtain weapon damage to spell damage anyway, so this really helps level the playing field a little more.
I have had to switch to drinks now, because my regen was getting pretty low. Though watching faces explode is worth it.

I'm a sorc too, my build is pretty much like yours
My legendary build

5x Julianos (chest heavy infused + other pieces light divines+ legs infused)
3x willpower (arcane)
2x torug's pact (head light divines + nirn destro staff)
1x molag kena (medium infused)

The only pieces that isn't gold are head + shoulders, everything else is. On my destro staff bar I have 3011 spell damage (around 2350-2400 on my resto bar but it's only that low coz I'm being lazy, need to make a new staff lol) 41k max magicka, 62% spell crit and 835 magicka regen (also low coz all my enchants are max magicka).

In your post you said you're getting 3008 but if you use arcane on all you're willpower jewellery you'll be on 3224/3390. I do t use DW but on your destro bar how do you getting 3224 with all arcane on jewellery, I've been running this set for awhile but haven't reached 3224 unbuffed, only 3011 unbuffed, I know if I use the apprentice instead of the thief it'll increase my spell damage but that means lowering my spell crit which I don't want to do plus it still wouldn't increase it by that much, is there something else I'm missing?
