The ESO Plus Crown Issue

Tee_Elle
After two months of non-receipt of Crowns, I contacted ESO Support via the Help Option in game. They asked for proof of purchase, it was provided. After no response for TWO WEEKS, I contacted Microsoft, who refunded the past two months and cancelled my Sub.

Now, I want ESO+, so I resubbed, only to, guess what, not receive ANY CROWNS. (Yes, yet again I have submitted a ticket - where are my Crowns, ZOS?)

This got me to thinking.

Is my Xbox Account Linked to my ESO+ Email? Well yes, I registered when I originally set up the game.

But my Xbox Account email, my PayPal email and my ESO+ email are ALL DIFFERENT.

Is this the issue? Different email addresses? Cos I can fix that so they are all the same.

I'd like to know if anyone else is using a different email addresses for PayPal/Xbox/ESO+ accounts is having the same problem.

I don't want to unsub. A sub costs me AUD$15 per month - this is WAY WAY WAY cheaper than buying Crowns and DLC at crazy USD:AUD $ conversions.

Seriously doubt an email address factors in to it, as everything Xbox, Online Gaming and Microsoft goes to the same email address for me, and I have the same problem.

As I've said elsewhere, the issue as I was told by ESO is that while an ESO sub might renew at a certain date (the 1st of each month for me) the transaction with Microsoft doesn't actually happen until around the 20th of the month (even though the game registers the renewal), so it doesn't show in the Microsoft transaction history, therefore no Crowns are issued.

Of course, when the 20th of the month comes and it does finally show on Microsofts transaction history, the Crowns still aren't issued for some reason, and then you have to go through the whole "Proof of Purchase" fiasco to get them.

I've been told it's a "known issue" they're working to resolve... but really, how hard can they be working on it if so many people have had the same issue for so long? (Esp. when they effectively tell people to go fix it themselves by saying we should tell Microsoft to change the billing date).

oh well that's that theory out the window then!

Ive done all the proof of purchase - and no response from Zenimax. Microsoft said all they can do is cancel and refund.

Now I resubbed and had the exact same problem, again no response from Zenimax.

    Its just frustrating.

Yeah... I'm seriously considering cancelling the subscription and not purchasing any DLC, just staying with the basic game (it's not like there isn't enough to do). I mean, if they can't be arsed to fix something as important as a subscription, I can't be arsed to spend more money on the game.

This kind of response is really unacceptable, Zenimax:
    Greetings,

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited team. We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing a delay in receiving your purchased Crowns. At this time, we are not seeing any delays in Crowns being delivered to players. Sometimes your bank or other financial institution can take longer to deliver the funds to Sony or Microsoft which can result in the delay you are seeing.

We recommend reviewing our Crowns troubleshooting steps which can be found here: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29553/ .

    Warm Regards,
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Team

So much for NOT USING BOTS TO RESPOND.

I contacted them again, again with Proof of Purchase Screengrabs, because they closed the previous tickets.

This was the response - wow just wow.
    Greetings!

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Team. Please see below for some basic information regarding the crown store:

    1. It is not possible to refund items purchased in the crown store except to the extent required by local law (no exceptions will be made)
    2. Crowns cannot be transferred at all for any reason (no exceptions will be made)
    3. Players can transfer some items purchased through the crown store to other characters on their account by using the bank
    4. Items purchased with crowns are exclusively owned by the account holder on the megaserver from which it was purchased (no transfers are available and no exceptions will be made)
    5. You are not required to buy anything from the crown store
    6. No items purchased from the crown store give players a competitive advantage in Cyrodiil
    7. You can preview an item in the crown store by selecting the item you wish to view and pressing X

If you are experiencing a separate issue that is not covered above, please review the following help article:

Er... what's any of that response got to do with an ESO+ subscription? Wow indeed, I wonder if they even bothered to read your email properly.

Crowns received overnight, with a bonus.

Perseverance and a lot of trying not to be rude to them finally resulted in a win.

Too bad I missed out on the limited edition store items I wanted.
