Orsinium Needs Clarification

I read (before the DLC went live) that it would be available for all levels. So, I went to try it and I see that everything is VR16. Intentionally misleading, or poorly written? Sure, I can access the zone, but I still can't fight anything.

You are battle leveled to VR15, meaning all of your stats will be very high.

It is available for all levels, read the patchnotes, it explains that you will be battle leveled and how battle leveling works.

Okay thanks. I don't usually read much of patch notes, thought I'd have gotten all the info I need from the FAQ or an in-game mail.

I'm hoping they 'battle level' all the zones, so that level won't matter for doing story content anymore. This would allow people of disparate levels to also team with each other, which is an area where this game falls flat to some degree.

Haven't been to wrothgar yet so maybe they do this already, but some kind of notification that your character's stats have been adjusted would be a good thing (I think it does this the first time you enter cyrodiil). New players, or just any player who hasn't read the natch potes, wouldn't know what to expect. So when they travel to wrothgar as a level 5 and see all these v16 enemies, they're going to flip and think it's way beyond them and leave.

It sure makes it a lot more fun and easy for me to play with friends, or go back to content in GW2. That would have to include some kind of instancing change too. The biggest turn-off for me playing this game is the difficulty of actually doing content with friends that one of us has completed.

When you're in Orsinium it shows on your character menu that you're battle leveled to VR15. When I (unfortunately fairly briefly) went there yesterday I saw a level 3 fighting mobs with no problem.

What I think needs further clarification is that even though a character may be battle-leveled, it doesn't mean that Orsinium is the same in difficulty to, say for instance, Stonefalls, for a level 5 with starter gear and hardly any skills.

The World Bosses are no where near similar; only the elite will finish these solo, whereas most of the WB's everywhere else are quite solo-able.

Yeah, that makes sense. A quick notification on-screen when you zone in that you are now battle leveled to VR15 would be good.

I agree, it would be very useful, and currently you don't even get a first-entry pop-up. This was part of the motivation behind my new add-on, Scaling Alert, which pops up when you enter battle-levelled areas and scaled instances to tell you how things have scaled. It's in beta right now and I'd welcome some testing feedback!
