If you have a character ment for harvesting, with the movility, the increased yield from harvesting nodes. etc... i doubt you can get more by grinding since decon of that gear yields ridiculous results, as in 1 or 2 per decon and the ones bought with telvar are fairly expensive.
But hey, to each his own

Well, let's put it into perspective. I was able to earn 90 CP last week, obtain over two thousand v16 grade mats by deconstructing the constant drops from the mobs, earn a couple hundred thousand tel var stones (always go out with 10k in pocket, 4x multiplier, return with 20k)....what does "harvesting" yield? I automatically assumed it was underwhelming considering the prices for mats did not drop as was forecast by so many who though Orsinium nodes would be overflowing with them...

I will be fair and square, your choice was the correct one I have to admit. First day I went to farm mats in wrothgar and the actual spawn of v16 mats is ridiculous so even though at the time I thought your choice would yield less results than mine, it turned out to be the other way around given the way they made the v16 mat spawns in wrothgar.
Appart from telling you you where right, I'm glad to hear that you got 90 cp, sounds like a good grindI got around 60 but did not hardcore-grind that much.

I can fish in a tent sitting on a frozen lake, pole stuck in a cut-out hole in the ice and get a lot of fish.
Or I can go to a beautiful, wonderful state like Alaska, Wyoming, or Washington State, walk around in a state park and take in beautiful scenery. Drop my fishing line into a fast running stream, watch trout jumping up and about, and have a great time in a fantastic environment.
1) I catch fish both ways
2) I (in my opinion) can have a much happier time NOT camped in a tent, ice fishing.

The randomness, repetitiveness, and "pretty scenery" does not captivate me as one might occupy a child's fascination with minimal effort by decorating a space. I did not buy this game for the graphics and prospective scenic walk in the park. In other words, for some people the quests just don't resonate. If the hole in the ice gives the best results then I'm an Eskimo.
