Make proxydet an actual zergbuster and I will gladly switch back to magicka and make zergbusting a career.

Run at a right angle, they usually can't change direction to go after one player. I've also notice you can roll dodge through them and get behind them if lateral escape is not an option. Prox takes so long to go off now, and two rolls should carry you through most or all of the train. Something even a magicka build should be able to pull off.

I think people should start looking into Inevitable Detonation. I use it with success against bomb groups, provided I'm able to stay out of their path. (Packing into house or shed, once a viable strategy, is now a death trap when it allows me to cast I Det on the group from the safety of just outside the door.) A half dozen players casting that into any blob would take out all but the tankiest players in the group on the first purge.

I think the base damage for proxydet should be 1k and then scale up infinitely based on how many people it hits. Actually no I wouldn't want that because ZOS would just do it on live without putting it on pts to test first, and the results may be horrible and then we would have to wait 6 months before they revert the change.

I use proxy even in duels. Way too convenient that skill. Unfortunately, for everyone. From solo to zerg.

This. When it had a cast time and shorter fuse time you had to use it wisely. Now it's literally fire and forget.

Eventually it will. I unloaded a dozen of these into a large group stacked on top of each other for 6k+ base damage a piece. A decent group with you, you'll wipe the tight-knit group everytime if they ignore the casters.

That's 2 sec cast time, 4 sec till det, that's every 4 sec max if u start casting halfway through the dot. At 6k, that's 1.5k aoe dps. That is horrible. There's so many better ways to do significant aoe dps to a tight group.

Edit: maybe purges are setting them off two at a time or 1 every 2 secs.

Purge does not, or rather should not remove inevitable detonation. This was changed during the PTS it was introduced (and the tooltip was never changed) because after some feedback they realized it was a bad idea. Before anyone says it's a good idea, how would you feel if you had a pug spamming purge while you or your group was being hit with inevitable detonations? It's a form of griefing.

Don't need a link, anyone who has ever had inevitable det put on them and purged themselves (basically any magicka build) can tell you that purge does not cause it to explode.

I'm almost positive at least purifing ritual will set it off early. Pretty sure I've used this in the past at some point to control the timing of the detonation.

Go ahead and test it yourself. There's tons of dual wield prox det - curse sorcs now that it's the only way to get decent burst without destro.

    Prox det
    Curse
    You purge Curse
Prox det pops after 4 sec, not on purge activation.

Wait til they get with the times and switch to stamina AoE.

When I see/hear folks complain about prox det I always laugh sadly inside.

Also thank you to the folks who shared how yet another Zeni tooltip is totally incorrect.

Disabling the grass may improve performance.
