How are we supposed to do the quest achievements in Cyrodil?

I am in aldmeri dominion, and the Cyrodil map is always blue (full DC controlled) i must travel 20 minutes to reach the towns that have the quests for the achievement and even when i reach i get ganked by players and die before i even pick up the quests, and after that i must travel again 20 minutes because the waypoint is far on the other side just to get killed again and its almost impossible to complete any of the quests. Can't you let an instance just for the pve players who want to complete the cyrodil quests achievement? we dont want to deal with the nerds that sit there all day killing other players while having 0 progress in the rest of the game


EDIT: For those of you who have same problem join the Axe of Belharza campaing its full AD controlled- yellow map and no other alliances

I was able to complete it long time before I hit v16. And there was no vet battle leveling at that time. If I can do it, everybody can. Did you know you can guest in other campaigns too?

i am trying to find one that is controlled by AD but hardly

If being ganked is the matter you can't solve (by defending yourself) then just switch to campaign controlled by AD and play in unusual time (like 3am).

Try doing them on a guest campaign or wait until Osirium is out and Cyrodil will be dead for a few days.

Generally DC always has the least amount of players.
At least according to the hundreds of threads complaining about it. (lol)

Yeah, I think you need to find a campaign where AD is better represented. I'm not sure what it is these days though. I used to see the map all red with EP. Maybe they got tired of it all rolled DC?

Choose another campaign. Or start using stealth, especially near the quest givers, as those are known ganking spots.

If you are on PS4 NA then there is always at least 1 campaign full of 1 faction. Haderus for AD, don't remember the others' but each faction has 1.

I experienced ganking around several of the Sky Shards too.

Cryodiil is just bad game design; it just doesn't make sense to mix PVE and PVP in the same zone; it is challenging, but not impossible.

Many games have PvE aspects in a PvP zone. For example, Runescape had it as of when it switched to the Wilderness from optional (ish) open-world PvP and to my knowledge kept it ever since (wouldn't know what today does, never really cared for Runescape 2 and 3). Of course it also had dueling on members servers but still...

Get a friend to group with, preferbly one who has some experience with pvp. I protected a guild mate lately while she was doing the quests and could kill most people that tried to gank her easiely. Most of them are very bad players, otherwise they would do real pvp instead of ganking people while they are questing.

Sounds like NA PC BWB campaign atm its a close game between EP and DC. I mean DC is winning this current campaign while EP won the last and DC before that. AD on the other hand are easy pickings and pose no threat to either DC or EP, they are always pushed to gate keeps and haven't had their scrolls for more than one day. To sum up we need more AD, its kinda boring facing the reds all the time.

Its a darn PvP zone. You gotta expect gankings to happen there...

As has been mentioned, either find a map where your alliance is ascendant at least some of the time, or sneak, sneak, sneak. I usually do latter, yeah, I get ganked every so often, but who cares? Just respawn, and visit a different town until you get ganked there, then go back to your original target while the waiting ganker got bored and moved on to something else... yeah, it does take a lot of transit times when you can't use a shortcut to a friendly keep. Either be patient, or again, look for a campaign more to your liking. BtW, you don't have to check them all out yourself, you can -gasp- ask other people in your alliance where all your allies PvP these days...

But don't go asking for silly ideas like opting out of PvP in a PvP zone. Otherwise to keep it fair the PvPers would have to get an option to gank you in PvE zones... and I remember from other games how much 'fun' that can be. Not.

Choose a different campaign which isn't dominated by one of the enemy factions.

I did all the Cyrodiil achievements if that counts.

I like how you call other players nerds, yet fail to see the irony in you playing an mmo and hunting "achievements". I hope you aren't planning on using your "achievements" in ESO as a pick-up line.

Anyway, just do what other people do. Guest on a campaign that is either dead/controlled by your faction.

Why do you need to complete the achievements in cyrodiil?

If you're not interested in fighting (which includes getting surprised and overwhelmed), those achievements are not for you.

DC and EP players, I think you know you guys gotta get to AoB and start roaming quest hubs.

I normally see at least one map held by AD and one held by DC, the reason for this is because I am pact and I am sure that each faction at time feels the same.

The PvP quests have the same issue as the IC. Some people just want to grief others and where will you find the weakest PvPers, well trying to do PvE quests. So the griefers go and kill these guys.

I use to do these quests at VET 1 but back then the rewards sucked so I soon stopped. I didn't really care about the achievement.

Just a weird thought, group up with some friends and fight back while doing the quests and collecting shards.
You might find you enjoy PvP.

Depending on platform and time of day, it's best to find a campaign that is overly populated and overly dominated the entire map of Cyrodil. Those campaigns are best for this. I play in one for Xbox one and have done all but one town casually.

I'm not into PvP so for what it's worth, it's doable but I've been killed a few times too. It's best to do these with 3 others just in case but it's solo able
