• NA megaservers for patch maintenance – December 17, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EST (17:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for patch maintenance – December 17, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 17:00 UTC (12:00PM EST)

ESO been offline now for more than 6hrs for maintenance. I wonder if this mean there are some actual fixes being applied, or just losing game time to make it look they are doing something.

    The accidentally stuffed up the Euro server and took it down too (a bug or mistake, I'm not sure exactly what happened) and it got fixed (I think) about 2 hours ago so I ASSUME the actual maintenance work would have only started then too (I hope, and probably am, wrong lol). I expect we'll be here for a while longer.

    It's back end stuff, no patch per Gina in another thread. This kind of stuff takes quite some time to do on a server farm. Then they need to verify all the updates and or hardware changes. Hopefully it will be online soon.

    You have to pay (example $300 ) for your car each month, now why don't I just go take your car for 1 hour just when your about to leave for work ok? get it

    To you its 6 hours and 13 cents but to some its a totally missed day for no good reason!

    Maybe a lot of people will leave this game by next week when Black Ops 3 comes out. Or maybe for Halo 5. Just for simple information they couldn't give us on how long maintenance will last....Is that how you take care of the few people that are left still playing your game?

    Good thing we're not talking about a car but a game that no one forces you to play. Unless you play ESO at work, then...

    Most single player console gamers will always leave a game for the shinest new game that comes out, it comes with the mentality. PC players tend to be in it for the long haul, console gamers tend to be in it for a quick fix, until the next quick fix comes out. However, they also typically come back whenever a new DLC comes out as well... then rush through it so they can jump on to the next game.

    Well it's almost 3am here, which in downtime is almost 7hrs. The only reason I'm still hanging on is to start the patch download before spending some quality time looking at the back of my eyelids.

    You do realize this is SERVER maintenance, there is NO patch download.
