Player Housing in Cyrodiil?

I think it would be interesting to add the superior player houses to Cyrodiil when this feature launches. Still keep the option for medium houses in pve land, but add a risk/reward mechanic by adding player housing to the alliance war.

The reward - bigger, more opulent houses with stables and a unique war horse mount. NPC merchants and banks onsite. Purchasable NPC guards for when you are not there. More storage space. +5% XP/CP bonus whilst the house remains standing. Crafting tables onsite.

The risk - the house can be burned down by players from the other alliances and becomes inaccessible for 2 real days before it respawns. During this time the player experiences -5% loss to XP/CP and cannot use the faster armored war horse mount.

Just an idea, but I think it would be interesting to weave housing into the Alliance War and possibly the Justice system if you wanted to include burglaries.

I'd rather not have all that work potentially burnt to cinders.

I'd love if they put houses in some interesting places on the map, not just create generic "neighbourhod". I mean those places that are marked with an eye on the map.

I don't think there has been any word on how they are going to implement housing... at all. They may not be out in the world but instanced.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

No part of Tamriel can ever possibly house every single Vestige in the game. Therefore I'd be willing to bet there will be some sort of alternate space where we get our houses. It would likely be accessed via a housing NPC and we can invite people to visit or open it to the public or something, the latter of which would probably make a huge list appear to scroll through of houses open to the public lol

True, but they could do the same thing as with trade vendors.

Yeah they're going to get a lot of complaints if they turn it into a real estate battle.

Agree. But simply I'd like them to find some good way to put these houses into the open world, because that would actually make visiting them more interesting. Instanced housing is just boring. Seen that, done that. Nothing to look forward to.

Well only time will tell how Zenimax plans to do it.

And lose a LOT of potential money.

Pretty sure housing will be instanced - maybe a selection of 20 or so different properties that can be bought throughout the world. I just think they need to think outside the box and do more with it than just provide a room with a storage crate in the corner.....it needs to mean something or integrate with other systems like the alliance war, justice system or upcoming thieves guild in some way.

No point just having a generic room with a storage crate, every game under the sun has done that. I'd like to see some lateral thinking :-)

    well...

I need a big armory in my housing

I have a lot of different kind of characters, only one really in endgame
So... I am saving any dropped armor item.

and because of these "suboptimal" traits and recurring changes of sets... that is a lot.

"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".PC-EU

I always wanted to have my house in Vlastarus or Cropsford!

Another thing - I think they should make those useless blue trophies u collect for achievment decoration for houses.

Gina did say in the last ESO Live that training dummies might be implemented with player housing - so it looks like it is something they are working actively on

Dump Guild Keep idea and give Keeps to top players what Ive said, there isnt even enough PVP guilds for Guild Keeps. Also I think Houses are going to be private islands. What I want Houses to have is place where I can switch between different builds/gears with one click. Also somekind of Enlightment chamber could be neat, extended Enlightment bank. Herb Garden as they are so hard to find. Stables for my mounts. Also I wouldnt mind to put all my chars to same House.

Yeah, stables would be cool - to at least display them all outside your house. I'm assuming houses will be on the crown store, so would be nice if they came with a unique mount - a Cyrodiilic mansion with a stables and Unicorn mount for example. Or maybe a Dwemer residence with a dwemer construct as a mount :-)

Pretty much certain they will be expensive, I'm expecting 2000 crowns for a country mansion
