Heals from ability trees breath of life, refreshing path, sap essence etc. in stamina builds can the heals scale off the higher stat I.E. Stamina the heals are light in stamina morphs it makes them really not useful

PVP Abilities,

Caltrops and Vigor have become PvE staples can we get PVE versions of these abilities in some tree that share cooldowns and don't work in Cyrodil. PVP players don't really want to PVE (at least some have expressed so on the forums) and personally I don't want to PVP just to get two abilities to use when I run dungeons.

Having some type of similar ability or access to the assault ability that doesn't work in Cyrodil till you go earn it would be appreciated

I didn't want to do the same dungeon over and over in 1.6 so I could dress up like a freaky metal bird and drop meteors on my foes, but I did. I didn't want to kill a hundred thousand sewer zombies to get the only sensible rings for my build, but I did. I don't like spending hours on end fighting mindless low-threat computer monsters, and you don't like fighting humans; we all have to do the work, and you're no exception.

Lots of anger still here over having to run the dungeon. Maybe if they had found a way to give PVP's a way to earn monster helms you wouldn't' feel the need to passive aggressively insult those who hold a different opinion then you with an ever so slight tone of superiority because you kill players not mindless NPC's.

Just as a side note you didn't buy my game for or pay my sub feel free to keep your opinions on what I should do or how I play to yourself.

I enjoyed running the dungeon, although I didn't expect to; I got a little frustrated with how many times I had to run the thing, but it wasn't like I had to do it all at once and get my special monster face right away. I knew if I kept up with it, over time, I would eventually get the thing that I wanted, even though it wasn't the "ideal" way to spend my time. It was also a meaningful medium-to-long-term goal, which is something I think the game lacks overall! It wouldn't have meant as much to me, wouldn't have felt so satisfying, if I was able to get it right away.
Maybe if they had found a way to give PVP's a way to earn monster helms...

I don't think I would want that; I honestly believe the way things are set up right now is the way it should be, in order to encourage an organic progression in terms of individual skill alongside the more material progression of equipment and skill lines. I think it's healthy to be forced to do certain things for certain rewards, especially the things you don't want to do! It exposes you to different playstyles, different techniques, different players... and it forces you to become a more well-rounded player yourself. I am a better player because I pushed myself outside my comfort zone and opened myself up to what I could learn from (and enjoy about) the experience.
...you wouldn't' feel the need to passive aggressively insult those who hold a different opinion then you with an ever so slight tone of superiority because you kill players not mindless NPC's.

I'm sure I would find a reason to do that anyway.

Listen, I apologize for grumping out on you. It's not so much that I think you should spend your time differently, so much as I think the current system is effective and important in an "eat your vegetables" sort of way. I know it's hard to look forward to sinking that much time into doing something you don't like, but I think if players are able to put aside the mindset of "I don't want to do this, so I shouldn't have to", they stand to reap an enormous benefit from learning unfamiliar game mechanics.

Basically, I just worry that too many things that are good for the game get changed because people complain that it's too hard for them to do it, or because they're forced to do things they don't want to! The design philosophy of assigning certain rewards to certain activities is my only dog in this fight, not the way you spend your free time.

I'm sorry I sounded like a condescending *** in the process of expressing that! A couple other threads had riled me up, and I did act passive-aggressively. If you decide you want to work toward unlocking your alliance war skills so you can use them in dungeons-- I won't pretend it'll be easy, or that it'll happen quickly-- I'd be happy to help out with any advice, insight about PvP mechanics, or hands-on playtime that you think would be beneficial; plenty of people helped me out when I started doing PvE. Just let me know.

    That's not balance.

That's further breaking. You can't use BOL because you pumped all your stats into stamina because you like to stare at FTC numbers and now your magicka skills are dumpster tier skills.

They just need to reinstate softcaps and make health actually offer something useful outside of getting a miserably pathetic return on damage shields.

How about preventing PvP nerfs from affecting PvE?

Something many companies learned a long time ago.

Interesting argument. I bought the game at console launch and wasn't around for soft caps.

I based the suggestion around damage skills that scale off your highest start which seems to be the general direction the developments team is going.

If damage skills can scale off the highest stat then healing skills should as well at least somewhat and where aporopiate.

Thanks for assuming I play Templar, I don't but thank you.

I actually like the set up of PVP in this game and am not terrible at it not exactly good either. What I don't enjoy and I find this in most online games I play is the PVP community. Or a portion of it. It becomes giant di%k measuring contest and just bleeds the fun smooth out if it.

ZOS can't and shouldn't try to change the way players that's the organic experience and why people play online games. I have learned myself not to try to change people, players, or play styles and just to avoid the experience because it becomes unenjoy able and I actually want to enjoy my in game.

The resin I target specifically caltrops and vigor is because they have organically over time grown to become almost core end game PVE staples, even more so in the new Malestorm Arena. I don't think PVP players should have a skill neefed or changed or restricted for something they worked vey hard to obtain. I also believe players who don't enjoy the PVP experience for whatever reason should be handicapped even so slightly when there are workarounds that affect neither party negatively.

You could easily place a caltrops and stamina heal type ability in undaunted trees or fighters guild trees without negatively impacting PVP or PVP players.

I salute PVP players who have ranked up assault and support skill lines and they should have a competitive advantage in a PVP setting because of their dedication. PvE players should not be handicapped or at disadvantage when running PVE content comparatively.

We may just disagree here and it's a big game with lots of room for differing opinions. I appreciate the response, the apology, and the offer of help if you play on console PS4, I'll take you up on that, I'll take all the help I can get.
