how do I know if my champion points under the mage are actually working ? I have spent 18,000 gold redistributing them 5 times in multiple combinations. I wrote down all of my stats both from the character sheet and skill lines I have chosen. every single combination I have done results no changed effect in any stat anywhere that I can see. for example "mighty, precise attack, piercing, blade expert" etc ..when I place points say in the thief "mooncalf" stamina regen, I can see the value increase on my character sheet. but no matter any combination I use with the mage none of my weapon damage stats increase. furthermore I often get a scripting error while spending points.
control[GuirootTexture7]already has two anchors, adding another will have no effect

is my game broken? is this why my vet 16 character seems to never be able to do any damage? is this a hack? or just the usual messed programming

I am not sure but I think when I tried it I came to the conclussion that the blue points do not affect tooltips. But I might be wrong. That was in 1.6. The CPs do make a difference. Just try different distribution and go test it on a target like a mammoth. You will see a difference in damage depending on how you distributed your points.

Well. You do not have a tooltip for weaponattacks so no idea where you want to see the changes.
The only ones that should be affecting any tooltip or something are thaumaturge, mighty, elemental expert and blessed.

Perhaps because Mooncalf increases Stam Regen, and you have a corresponding value to look at in your stat window-- Stam Regen.
Mighty, Precise Strikes, and Blade Expert, have no tooltip that directly corresponds to the %value you are increasing.

You might be able to see the difference by testing a certain skill, say for example, Snipe. Snipe a mob with zero points in Mighty, then Snipe the same mob with 27 points invested. There should be a 10% damage increase.

yes the mooncalf works, the thief and warrior traits all work. I can see a direct increase in my stats when I increase these attributes. I am only asking about the mage. no matter what skill I have added points there is no change any where when it comes to added weapon damage or increase in critical. as I stated I have spent 18000 gold to re-spec every single value under the mage making notes of my pre-stats and nothing changes anywhere on the character sheet or on skill line attributes. again my thief and warrior attributes work fine and I can see the increase.

you are stating to try snipe with and without points. 1st off where are you seeing this 10% increase in real number values on your character sheet or under skills. 2nd I am on a console it does not show us damage done to enemies. we have to take it on faith that it works

ok I just went and spent more gold I put 25 points in mighty, nothing changed, went back and put 25 points in precise strikes, nothing changed. I went to a different tree under the mage, the atronach and put 25 points into bow expert and then blade expert and no values change nor does attacking the same npc seem to result a difference. with and without points
