To morph or not to morph

I was looking at the Puncturing Strikes --> Biting Jabs morph and noticed that the new damage is less than the old damage. I assume the damage will increase as I go up in level (49 now) and thus increase my weapon damage, so the Biting Jabs damage will eventually exceed the Puncturing Strikes damage. Should I wait to morph this until then or is the extra critical worth the reduced damage?

Hmmm...also just noticed that the cost switches from Magika to Stamina. Not good on a Magica build Templar. It looks like Biting Jabs is not the right choice for this character.

I don't play Templar, but it seems weird your jabs is weaker than the unmorphed version if you're a stamina build. Generally the only reason the magic version would be higher is if your spell damage/magicka is more than your stam and weapon damage.

Bitting Jabs is a stamina morph.

Ah I just wrote my previous comment before I found out you're a Magicka build, sorry. Yeah, you'll want Puncturing sweep instead - it costs magicka, so will work out better for you in the resource and damage department.
