How many lockboxes for your Xivkyn polymorph?

The only reason I'm going through the IC content is for the poly. Other than that, I don't really like IC. I hate the fact I can lose most of my stones just because a group of 2-4 players ganked me from stealth while I was fighting a mob.
Anyway, after weeks of hard soloing and 17 lockboxes I still haven't found a poly. Some friends said it took them about 5. Just wondering what rate other people are getting them at?
Because at the moment I don't really see the point to IC if I can't even loot a single polymorph, and takes ages to get enough stones for one box because I'm getting ganked constantly.

3 big boxes (6k per) and 25+ small boxes (600 per). Small box. Around 35k TV in total.

By the way I heard from PTS people that boxes there cost half compared to live... maybe it will stay that way for the update.

Ah, so the chance is higher with the bigger ones? Would make sense. I usually just go the small ones because it takes too long to gather even 1k, let alone 6.

I think the cost for the boxes stays the same. The other things you can buy have been halved (mats etc. )

To OP: can confirm you get higher chances on 6k boxes

I bought 12 of the big boxes and got the light and heavy polymorphs.

So apparently 54 was the lucky number. Finally got my Xivkyn poly this morning, and it feels goooood. Just one of the many reasons I love not seeing some things in the crown store

Dang that's not bad at all. I don't have a VR16, so had to stick with the 600 TV lockboxes.. seems like the drop rate is VERY rare on those

Hopefully you'll be luckier than I did and find one before 54 boxes xD

Don't waste your time with the 600 stone boxes, I spent 12k worth of stones on boxes last night and got nothing.

It's just completely random. Some people have said they got one after 3 3k boxes. I've bought four and nothing yet. Took me 54 green boxes to get my Dreadguard one, and some haven't even got one after that

Screw this BS. I don't complain about rng very often....

But, I have to say, I spent over 100,000 stones on green boxes. And nothing.

So I said alright, and ran sewers for weeks now. I saved up 42+ thousand stones. I opened 54 boxes last night and then 21 today. And still have NOTHING! That's 75 boxes in under 24 hours.

So to clarify, that's 150,000 telvar stones and not one single drop. I've purchased well over 100 boxes.

That's why I wish everything was available for a price. If the poly I wanted said 500k stones next to it to purchase, it would be asinine but also let me know it IS obtainable. I could work towards a goal. As of now I've worked so hard towards this goal and now I'm back to zero, and have zero enthusiasm to start again. (Besides having 100s of the same damn items that's really decon garbage)

It's terribly frustrating, and if I hear one more noob tell me how they got it on their first box I'm going to lose it.

I will say, I've been fortunate with the drops by vaults tho. In the past month I've pulled two willpower rings and two agility rings, with the proper traits. Both were two at once (2x willpower, 2x agility) so I can't complain too much.

But I had to let off some steam to folks I know would understand. Let us obtain the things we want, even if it's a ridiculous price tag. I would easily spend 200k telvar or 500k gold.

Anyone else have this bad of luck trying for this?

Edit - did the math and looks like I've opened a total of 241 green boxes.

I wouldn't buy the green boxes...

I got my first two morphs after about 10-15 blue boxes each, and the third one took about 20 blue boxes. All together I spent around 150k tel var.

Oh, and when 10,000 stones equals 40-50k gold (selling rubedo leather) that equals 675,000 gold (at 45k a stack) that I've simply thrown in the trash. Could have easily bought the poly with gold had it been available.

I'm taking a well deserved break from the sewers I think. This is just dumb.

Ic is easy peasy I norm take on average when I farm for tv stones 1000 out and I come back after 1 loop and I made round 1000 more stones. but gotta do it when the time is right or you will lose stones(ganked or if someone else is there you will only get 6 per monster vs 12 >.>.)

All 3 on 28 green boxes technically I opened the final one on my 22nd but I bought a big batch at the time. People are buying from the regular tel var merchant right and not the greater tel var which doesn't drop them?
