Regular guilds doesn't exist?

I come from a line of different MMOs and have finally landed in Eso's world. What bothers me the most is how there seems to be a big lack of regular guilds. Ever since I started playing I've been trying to find a pve/pvp guild with a more personal aspect to it. Not a trade guild, not a rp guild, just a normal pve/pvp guild where you do dungeons tougheter, pvping, learn newbies like me etc. I came alone to this game and I'm getting lonely ;_;

So, is it a pipedream to find a guild like that?

    No it is not.
    Have you tried the recruiting section here? It's divided by platform and server.

    What platform/server are you?

    On PC/NA there are several "normal" guilds of various sizes.

    for the PC NA EP;
    honest most large guilds left or broke apart after champ points where released due to the fact that in PVP view point was, if you didn't keep up with everyone else in champion points you where not effective to have in the guild; so the only people that where left were people who could devote a lot of time towards grinding daily's and other ways for exp. But for the people who couldn't keep up just got annoyed and left.

    For PVE I would most likely say its either the lack of content that gives a good reward for hard boss's or trails because most PVE people would run the same group activity over and over trying to get better items; But get really Nothing Maybe a master weapon. Which in PVP you could get a couple MW if you were top 5%? As for imperial city release I believe it was too late for a release of new content Most guilds where on the tipping point of collapse; and the lack of acknowledgment that Zos messed up also sent most large guilds over the threshold.

    As for console I have no Idea probably no large guilds due to no way of large scale organization without a third party way of organizing.

    Butttt you could always try the Guild location on the forums forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/en-pc-mac-na

    Oh I see.. But shouldnt it be easier to grind for those master weapons pve-wise instead of pvp?

    No the chance's of getting a master weapon you wanted after doing vetDSA was a pain because most of the time it took 3 to 4 hours with a group of people you kinda knew and most people only did one a day and would get a repeat of items.

    for PVP it was easier to run in a guild of 40+ in PVP and get other rewards in example AP, Gold and your rewards for doing good in PVP game for example cyrodiil light rings. So PVP always rewarded better then PVE in that aspect.
    it doesn't really matter now since most guilds in PVP are either Blob guilds or elite elitism guilds there are No guilds really there for just PVP since the content is a little dry.

    I actually created a guild to make friends and to try to become that personal guild, but nobody seems interested unless there's something else in it for them. The guilds I'm apart of only seem to exist as stores rather than actual guilds. It's all I get notifications for - "donate more money so we can hire another trader" :(

    I run a guild now but the amount of times we've risen and dropped is staggering. At our peak we have had 400+ members running large pvp groups and crowning emps and pve groups doing trials to then drop to 30 members with no events and no communication. That first drop was the September after ESO launched and the new school year. A lot of members just disappeared for University and such. Once that drop happened it was difficult to rebuild. What v16 needs to join a PvP/PvE guild when they've most probably already been settled in theirs? Its hard to make a guild work when you've got the leaders at max level and the new members at 3-30.

    That's sadly true. Other than traders, this game doesnt have much to keep people in a guild(Alot of guild hopping with traders too.). There's no PvE progression or even much pvp anymore since IC split the population in the campaigns.(hopfully that will change with time.) It's hard to keep a regular guild afloat, when no one really has a reason to be in one. Grab 11 friends and you can do everything in the game. My guild has had 500 members multiple times, but all people wanted was to use our trader, and better yet let our core grp pay millions of our own money and they not give any extra other than whats collected in taxes. Alot of selfishness, which i could understand if you've been burnt before. Only about a core grp of 30 people would come to guild events, and a little more than that would want to run dungeons. To me, one of the greatest mistakes was allowing membership to 5 guilds at the same time.

    You are obviously about to get slammed with a bunch of Guild masters recruiting you. SO....

    Sludge Industries does everything. We don't specialize in any one area. PVP, PVE, Trading, Crafting.. It's whatever the members are feeling that day.

    We do not have any strict guild lines either. Just don't be a ***, have fun, visit the store, and make friends.

    Would love to add you to Sludge Industries.

    I know what you mean. It's hard finding a decent Guild, much less running one that people expect to be a certain way. I created Sludge Industries to connect people and have fun. If you are interested; check us out!

    How do you go about recruiting for your guild? Do you spam zone chat? I only ever joined one guild that way, and that was because they were language-specific.
