I am guessing this is just a cosmetic\fun thing to do socially with other players and does not affect your character in anyway??

    It is one of these collection items/treasures/trophies. Sometimes they are only one time use, sometimes you can use them an unlimited amount of time. And yes as far as I know, they are just for fun.

    I have one that is called Justal's Falcon, its definitely my favourite. When activated, a falcon will appear and fly away from me, and returns soon after with something it caught, like an insect.

    Yes, its just a fun little collectable from the public dungeon in Deshaan. You get trinkets like that in the public dungeons and occasionally from quests.

    Cheers everyone - it was nice to do it online rather than after a dodgy looking No.32 with a side order of doner meat and chilli garnish
