Leveling Assassin skill line

I have had no trouble with my other skill lines but this one seems to lag by about 10 levels. Any thoughts / tips? Thanks.

✭the more skills you have on the skillbar that is active when you beat enemies or complete a quest anything that grants experience the faster the skill tree will rank up. have one bar with many assassination abilities set and have it active when something dies or you complete a quest.PS4 NA
