Help me decide a new Magicka based character? (my first magicka character ever)

I wanna roll a new Breton, i want it to be a pve/pvp DD as well as a good 1v1 character.
Im more of a melee warrior kinda player, but i wanted to try a magicka char for the first time ever.
I dont have the time to try them all so i want to focus on one class.
Ive had enough of Templars and DK so its between NB and Sorcerer pretty much.

Which class is the most versatile? fun to play? Harder? Effective? What would you guys recommend?

I found the starting abilities of sorcerer more fun when morphed. They are good enough to get you through to end game, and the ultimates better for my playstyle on sorcerer, there is nothing quite like overload, and no other class gets pets to help agro adds. So if you have stam Templar/dk it may be a nice change to try sorc with its arsenal of ranged magicka, for a change of pace/play-style that is unique to it.

Magick NB is fine but it seems to be more crowd control (CC) moves and utility, and more weighted to the siphoning tree/shadow tree in my opinion.

niether is difficult sorc can use pets and cc, NB speed and cc. And I know lots of NB magicka based healing/tanking set ups that can solo group content. So both are potent when used right. Just for me sorc felt more like it was a Dps nightblade more like it was a utility/support class.
