PC - console UI shows stats while in inventory. Can we get this on Xbox/PS4?

Hey ZOS

On PTS we are testing the game-pad which comes through the console UI
I've noticed that the inventory view has a character stat sheet on the far right while in the inventory view that isn't present on consoles.

Can we have this too?

The PC's console UI also has custom button mapping options as well as full text chat. Can we have those features too?

It's not karma...text chat is something ZOS doesn't want for consoles. Move on and discuss what is being offered in the specific UI on your platform of choice and discuss opportunities around it.

All joking aside if this is a feature that people would want/use then yeah add it to the game as it would improve the overall experience.

The more options we have ingame that make our gaming experience better, the longer we are likely to stick around.

Text chat aside, custom button mapping for controllers is something that was requested day 1 for the console version of ESO. Why the PC's console UI is getting this option when the actual console version does not have it is a major problem. As usual, ZOS has made no comment that this feature will ever be released on consoles. It's sad when the PC's console UI is better than the actual console's UI.

I'm curious if there are anymore PC console UI additions that would maybe transistion over to the actual consoles hidden away on the PTS.

This isn't an add-on request.
I actually am playing on PC on the PTS server and the default UI that will hit live on 11/2 is the console UI for game-pad support required for PC. Within the inventory menu that is literally the console UI on PC on PTS right now, the far right has a character stat sheet where on consoles that section is blank and shows the game and in the center is the character.

I'm only asking either if this is coming or if it can be added as its in our UI on the PC version.
FYI- almost all PC add-ons will not be supported on PC when using a game-pad due to a force console UI to enable game-pad control. This is also why this shouldn't be considered an add-on request or a "go play on PC" response as I'm on PC and Xbox simultaneously testing Orsinium on PTS and playing live pre-update on Xbox one

Honestly I don't see why they can't implement add-ons and text chat. I have Windows 10 so I play using game stream a lot and it's practically the same as PC aside from better graphics, mods (Graphical improvements) and Add-ons. When go to send a message via Game stream it brings up a virtual keyboard because it detects that I am using my laptop to play.

So you both wouldn't find it useful when highlighting an object in inventory to see the differences in stats on a highlighted item vs what's equip my without needing to equip, exit and go into a character menu...back out and unequip and then reequip?

No more using BoE...just highlight and compare

Honestly? Not really. It's just one extra step. Not like its going to improve my DPS or frame rate. Sounds more like a personal preference.

How it is today:
Go into inventory
Go into specific inventory category
Equips new item
Exit inventory
Go to character sheet
Exit character sheet go back to inventory
Reequip original item

Console UI on PC:
Go into inventory
Go into specific item category
Highlight new item and see item comparison and character sheet


I think it's a lot of extra steps but thanks for your thoughts on this

I've seen what you are referring to on the PTS and yes it is very useful when trying out different gear to see on the same page how it affects your stats.

Should be implemented across the board on all platforms, with an option in settings to turn it off for anyone who doesn't like it - everyone happy.

Meanwhile there are threads piling up about other useful UI features that console players would like. So I guess the best decision was to add something that was never asked for

Takes pc getting a controller support so console can get improvements with the ui, lol... Maybe next they can finally solve the puzzle of allowing console players to customize their controls

Seems like console release was just a cash grab to sustain the PC version at this point.
