No pledge shoulders in 6 days

I've done Undaunted Pledges for 6 days in a row now, and got the gold key every time. Yet, i have not got a single piece of any kind of shoulder. None. Not even one with a crappy trait. So im wondering..... am I doing something wrong? Is there like a "new" trick to make shoulders drop? Should i use that CP passive treasure hunter b4 i open the chest or something?

im sure its like everything else in game that has a certain percentage drop chance and just getting lucky is the only option

So far, that math is one shoulder a WEEK, and thats if i even get one for next pledge.....

Maybe just a bad week, I haven't notice anything different with the shoulders, so maybe is another rng thing and you got unlucky this week

Dude, you think that's bad? I saved 16 gold keys from pre-IC and opened them all when I hit v16. The ONLY boss shoulder I received was a terrible Maw of the Infernal piece. Since then, I've opened at least a dozen and NOTHING else has dropped.

I suspect they nerfed the drops pretty badly when they released the IC patch.

I went 2 weeks without any shoulders and then got shoulders from the following 4 chests in a row. RNG is RNG.

On a side note, we just ran vICP 2nd boss farm for 10 hours straight with 3 of us each needing either belt or legs of scathing mage to drop and none of us got the 1 piece we needed

yeah but say a drop has a 10% drop rate every day you stil only have 10% chance to get it odds are it will take a 10 days, but not guaranteed even if you run an event for said item 10 times each day you only have 10%chance of drop. I used 10% as an example to make it easy but you get the idea yes? that's the problem with certain items is the low drop rate. its a waiting game to see what will I get this time lol

1 gold key ever used I got Molag Kena shoulders. My 2 silvers was Bloodspawn and a randomn shoulders. Used all 3 before work Sunday. Guild mates said that was very common although I was really happy with the Molag Kena drop. I heard like half the drops now are minter shoulders so today I bet your luck turns around.

For those of you that haven't had much luck with shoulder drops, I can include myself in that complaint... I am wondering if there is any correlation between paid sub and not paying a sub.

I do not pay a sub as I do not feel it is worth paying for a measly 10% boost. Money is never an issue in ESO for me nor is experience gain. However, if there was some hidden advantage to having a paid sub and getting shoulder drops, well, I'd pay for a couple months to get a better chance at getting shoulders...

I never had a problem in the past getting shoulders to drop... but that was when I was a paid sub person. Since IC was released, I have resumed doing the daily pledge grind and have noticed too that shoulder drop rates have been paltry at best for me. This is with the fact that since IC, I have not paid a sub... I just bought the DLC outright.

I am just curious is all with regards to those of you that have seen a lack of shoulder drops... it most likely is in fact the RNG gods messing with me... but that conspiracy part of me feels like there is more to this!

All the months of completing vet pledges and doing helm farms never did give me exactly what I wanted, even when I was a paid subscriber... the type of armor and or the exact trait that I wanted that is...

What I would give for some sort of crafting ability that would allow for us to change the trait of a piece of gear!!

I can confirm, at risk of my own life, that this conspiracy is TRUE.

I have had a sub from the beginning and get more shoulder pieces than I can handle!

Did you also get the silver keys from the normal pledge and use those? Those have a chance for shoulder pieces, although it is a smaller chance.

But I do feel your pain. I saved some 20 gold and silver keys each before I hit V16 shortly after IC's release. That got me every shoulder piece to be had except Nerieneth's shoulders, the only one I really want.

I've been doing the pledges almost every day since then and I've only gotten one shoulder piece. Maybe RNG-luck builds up when you save your keys to spend all at once.

Random Number Generator is random. Streaks like this are typical of a truly random system. For example, let us say the shoulder drop chance is 25%. That means there is a 75% chance of no shoulder. Over 6 days, 0.75 ^ 6 = ~0.18. So there is about an 18% chance of getting nothing over 6 attempts. It is not like it is 1 in a million or something.
