I really miss Calling for Help with a Dolmen - and NEEDING it

Yesterday our group (my spouse and I play a lot with another couple who live a few states away), and in zone chat we heard a comment that "so and so dolmen is up if anyone cares".

And I felt sad that I did not care.

I remember when a dolmen going up was an impromptu community event. I would crouch, calling out in zone chat, knowing I was never going to be able to get past the first couple of waves without help (and I tended to expect that there would be at least two deaths overall). I remember a friend phoning me to get online and help - he'd managed (somehow) to get one almost done, but just couldn't take the final boss - and he was all out of soul gems.

There was a sense of shared peril, of community, of... well it was just better.

I wish it was still like that.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    Yep, dolmens, world bosses, and public dungeons used to require a group...then there were complaints, it was too hard...it was ruining their play to need someone else. And, le sigh, we go this.

    OTOH I am having fun with the group boss/dailies in Orsinium

    Yeah a couple of those bosses I did were like bosses in dungeons lol.. The world content is much better there, but I wish they would scale it better elsewhere. I easily solo EVERYTHING...

    I too wish that Dolmens, world bosses, etc. were as hard as they used to be. They are so easy that I can solo them with literally no problem, or effort on my behalf. A dolmen or world boss should not be easily soloable, and even with two people should prove to be at least a small challenge.

    I do like that world bosses in the DLCs are hard, and that is how they should be.
