I Want Out!

How does one tell ESO unassigned a player from a PVP campaign? I have 7 active chars and I want to reassign them all to different campaigns then they are in now. For example, my DC chars want to go when my AD chars are at. Right now, I can't reassign them because the AD chars blocks me from doing that. So I want out of ALL OF MY campaigns and reassign from nothing.

My EP chars are in an AD campaign and my AD chars are in an EP campaign. I am looking for a DC campaign for my DC chars to join. I am trying to figure how change 7 chars campaigns...

Sadly there's no way to unassign a campaign - you can only switch to a different one. Prior to the campaign reset with the IC patch I was in pretty much the same situation as you are now. I had to carefully note which character was in which campaign, and figure out how I had to switch them around so that my DC characters were in one, my EP characters in another, and my AD characters in a third. To keep things working, I ended up switching all of my guest campaigns to be the same as my home campaigns. Yay

This has always been a pain. I would love to see a path where you could wipe the slate clean and reassign things, even if it cost me gold or crowns I would gladly pay.
At the moment the best solution is probably putting guest and home to the same campaign but even that is painful and cumbersome.

I was in a similar situation before the IC resets. I'm only assigning campaigns to 1 factions toons until they allow an unassign option. Just glad I got the skyshards for my other characters.

OK. Make a list of what campaigns you want and what campaigns you have.

Since you need to swap your AD and EP toons to the other's campaign, start by moving one faction to a short campaign you don't care about. Once they are out of the campaign they are currently in, move the other faction toons into that one. Then move the first toons from the "spare" campaign into the campaign you actually want them in.

Since we got the reassign with the IC update, I simply didn't assign campaigns unless I was sure this is where I wanted my toons to be.

For the the most part I did the same... However, I was kind of a big hurry to play IC DLC. Now the group that I run with wants to change campaign on me.

As UrQuan said, deassigning is not currently possible, but Brian Wheeler has said they are looking into making that option available in the future.
