Hey guys,
I was checking out the new helstorm lizard in the crown store, and I noticed it showed my equiped weapon, but sized down...
To cute... try it out
It's just funny to think what bits of code are combining together to create this bug. So odd.

I believe it has something to do with the pet's preview being similar to your character camera/placeholder. Not long ago when the update happened where everyone was a shadow loading in first, you could also see their currently equipped weapon below them in this same manner. (can't remember which update this was but it was recent) I have screenshots of people running around as shadows with swords and staffs chasing after them xD
So yes, I reckon the preview is actually your character standing there but with the Lizard's skin on.
That one part of the game where you get to run around as a monkey is pretty fun...It's just funny to think what bits of code are combining together to create this bug. So odd.

Oh, so it's only happening in the preview window? That would make sense then.
On a similar note... I would totally pay to be able to run around the game as a lizard.

There was an adventure for AD&D 2e called Reverse Dungeon where the players played the part of the monsters having their home invaded by adventurers intent on wiping them out... I wasn't too fond of the actual implementation of that one, but I always thought the concept was a ton of fun. That one part of the game where you get to run around as a monkey is pretty fun...It's just funny to think what bits of code are combining together to create this bug. I LOVE that part @UrQuan.
We've discussed before on this forum, the idea of playing as Mobs. I kind of love the idea of being able to make a mob... and play the part of an enemy. I would like the idea of a person playing a mob leveling up and getting more powerful with each kill, but when THEY die, all progress is lost. That mob is dead. There would be some players to reach "boss" status!
Would be so much fun.

I don't know how this is possible unless these people play with HUD turned off or pay absolutely no attention to what's on the screen. That one part of the game where you get to run around as a monkey is pretty fun...It's just funny to think what bits of code are combining together to create this bug. Lol that would be interesting.
I know one guy that is so good at using disguises and playing an npc in Cyro, enemy players will just walk right by him

No, that was part of what I didn't like about the implementation. The other thing that I didn't like about the implementation was that rather than advancing the goblins that you started off playing, you "advanced" by completing one section of the story and then taking control of more powerful monster on the next level of the dungeon that the adventurers were trying to clear out. There was an adventure for AD&D 2e called Reverse Dungeon where the players played the part of the monsters having their home invaded by adventurers intent on wiping them out... Were the monster-players fighting against actual players?

Yeah it's a shame we can't play as lizards. Oh... Wait... Nvm

LOL. oh yea.. I mean a LIZARD, not an Argonian.
It happens because game engine uses your character model to preview pets. What they have forgotten was to disable weapon/shield that was attached to the model, causing it to display with the pet in a weird (and scaled down) manner.
