@ZOS Catch-Up CP System

So the new Catch up system is Horrible, its not even catch up system but its penalty System why ? Because after CP rank 338 you are going to need way more exp to reach next CP. Lets do some calculations, so now you need Solid 400k exp to reach every CP point doesn't matter which rank you are, at CP rank 450 u will need 522k to reach next CP so this system is Penalty system for those who didn't reach over 500CP points before. I never heard or see a System like this ? Penalty for not even reaching the CAP, Bravo ZOS!

    The thing is, there is close to nobody to catch up in that area. According to their data the % of players with more than 600 is so small that its not worth to make the catch-up system bulit around them. Bigger issue seems to be players with less than 100 who need to catch up those with 300-400 CP.

    Had similar thoughts, but had not seen any figures yet to explain it!

    Where have ZOS posted how the figures work?

    Now you need 400k exp to gain each CP

    After Orisnium:

    450 Rank = 522k exp needed
    451 Rank = 523k exp needed
    452 Rank = 524k exp needed

    Its going up instead DOWN till you hit 501 CP CAP...

    This is what people wanted when they were thinking there is an army of grinders out there with 1000+ CP. Now that we know there isnt, those who were calling most for cap will be hit by it. They called it upon themselves, Im not sorry for them.

    Just consider 501 be a hardcap and 338 to be a soft cap.

    The most important question what about pre 338CP? it is less than 400k xp required? otherwise that isn't a catch up system at all.

    ... I was expecting them to make the grind easier until you reach the cap. presumably before level 338 it takes less XP to gain a CP? but that trend should carry on up to the cap otherwise what they propose isn't a catch up system for all, for some its a "you should have grinded CP before, because now its going to take even longer"

    anyone on 600 to 1000 CP is sitting pretty because it took them 400kXP per CP from here on anyone else will have to do 30% more grind. That's not traditionally how catching up works.

    How are they rewarded? The difference beetween 501 and 338 is 163. I cant believe some ppl are gonna cry that they lose because somebody has 163 points more than them and are slowed down to catch up. Really? Then why not just give everybody 500 points instantly, because if you dont do that, there will always be somebody whining.

    Thats right. 163 is nothing if compared to 500 or even 1000 what we currently have.

    Does anyone know how many CP one can grind per day now on test server if you have 100 CP or so. This works if casuals and new players get them fast. This was for them anyway, theres gears, shoulder and helmet for vets to show their power.

    Wanna see how much exp we will need to gain when new DLC comes out after Orsinium and when they unlock CAP you will probably need 1mil per each CP point or more while in past we had 400k per CP

    Also--->163 Points is Big you can max almost 2 skills that is 15-25% bonus on one skill !

    Isn't the whole concept of "Catch Up" supposed to make it actually easier for someone to CATCH UP??? This new design sounds COMPLETELY THE OPPOSITE...... Yes, you are limiting people to an "Active" 501 CP count which is great, but also making it harder for people to actually catch up to the 501 CP max. So you just shot yourself in the foot, right before the marathon race.....

    This added experience requirement should be done for all CP OVER THE CAP, NOT UNDER IT..... It would slow down the CP earned for those OVER the cap which they can't use anyway so it really doesn't matter how fast it's earned! It should apply anytime someone is over the updated DLC CP Cap, so when the cap is increased, only those over it are affected by this.

    With tacking on more and more experience per CP point, it DOESN'T allow people to catch up in a reasonable time to someone already with over a thousand CP.....

    So next year, when the cap is raised to over 1000 CP, only those people that have 1000 CP now, will be able to use it. Just EXACTLY how is that a Catch Up???

    YES this system is so stupid it has to change, basically they are rewarding people who are OP even more...

    When you look at how the 163 affects stats you can see why people complain. A 163 point difference is an extra 54 CP per "tree". That's extra reduction/regen, shield strength/resistance and damage output. That will affect the outcome of a fight as it will make it easier to heal through damage as your taking less, you can last longer in the fight due to extra resouces from greater reduction/regen costs and you can also kill quicker doing more damage. 163 doesn't seem like a big number but it DOES make a difference in the right areas.

    It's a catch up to the cap, not catch up to the top 1%.

    New veteran players will get the first 10 Champion Points with that used to be required for 1.
